Guilt

Hidan really didn't want to, because he was afraid he would be punished for all eternity, but he always feels bitter and guilty when he looks at the corpses of the children he kills for his monthly sacrifice to Jashin. He tries, although he will deny it, to find orphaned or sickly children. But sometimes, he can't, and he has to use any child he can find. He tries to do it quickly, but even so, he falls asleep at night hearing screams for mothers.
