He knew that he'd lost this battle and time seemed to slow as he saw his opponent launch a rock based jutsu that he had no hope of avoiding or blocking. The last thing he saw as he lost consciousness was a flash of white.
A white haired female sat and watched quietly as her guest's eyes opened and he stared through the fire at her. She did not move as he sat up slowly trying to take in his surroundings. He looked confused and rightly so considering the last thing he saw was a cascade of boulders that he had no hope of escaping. He turned back to the fire and stared into it seemingly unaware of her presence as he wondered how he was not dead. He visibly flinched when she made herself known by starting to sing a song.
As you go through life you'll see there is so much that we don't understand
and the only thing we know is things don't always go the way we planned.

As he listened to her sing he realized that not only did he know the song but that it had been one of his favorites when he was younger. It also stirred up some old feelings and without warning he picked up the song as she paused. He stared into the fired as he sang wishing that someone could answer his questions.
If there's so much I must be can I still just be me the way I am?
Can I trust in my own heart?
or am I just one part of some big plan?
Startled when he started to sing she watched him as he sang. He stared into the fire as several emotions flitted across his face as the fire reflected from his black eyes and dark hair. She picked up the song again as he paused.
Even those who are gone are with us as we go on your journey has only begun.

all the wisdom to lead all the courage that you need you will find when you see we are one.
With the song over they soon settled in for the night. When he woke in the morning he discovered that his rescuer was gone. He got to his feet and realized suddenly that not only had she saved him but she'd healed him as well. He walked to the mouth of the cave and said, "were you a dream or are you real? But where ever you are may the wind carry my thanks to you." And miles away a white haired female smiled as a gentle breeze blew around her.
