Two Worlds Apart

Narrator POV

If you asked Emmett Bledsoe what he thought about a certain brunette, curly haired, brown-eyed feisty artist even just three weeks ago, his answer would have been simple, nothing, I barely know her.

Now however, life has gotten in the way and he can no longer promise such a simple answer. It all started when she asked for his help in finding her father. Thats when these feelings started to creep out into the open for Emmett and Bay.

All his life he had truly believed that hearing and deaf could never work out because they were worlds apart, and the communication barrier was too much to breach, but with Bay it was so easy to want to prove that theory wrong. Bay did everything she could to learn ASL for Emmetts sake, she was trying to make it easier for them to have simple conversation. Emmett decided to meet Bay halfway and try speech therapy, so he could put some effort in and show he wanted to make this work too.

The day that they became official was one of the best days in the young lovers lives, they had been spending nearly every minute together anyway, so they decided to add the title.

On Bay and Daphnes sixteenth birthday Emmett painted Bays art on a billboard, but of course being Emmett, made it a surprise and gave her a scarf in front of everyone else. He had gotten Daphne an elaborate gift with so much thought behind it that Bay was certain Emmett was in love with Daphne, oh but if only she knew what she would be receiving in about ten minutes on a billboard. Needless to say Bay was in shock at the thoughtfulness of Emmetts true gift for her birthday, but the Daphne complex as she so aptly named it was eating away at her, so she decided to tell Emmett that either he was going to tell Daphne, or Bay was, but it HAD to be done. They decided itd be best if Bay told Daphne and Emmett ran damage control afterwards that was the plan. But when Bay returned home to tell Daphne of her and Emmetts love for one and other, Daphne chose that moment of all moments to confess her undying love for Emmett That is where I leave you readers, and Bay will meet you.

BAY POV

Okay so my sister type person just told me shes in love with my boyfriend. Awesome. Okay Bay calm down and just tell Daphne that Emmett is otherwise occupied? Nah that sounds dirty Crap! What do I say?

Bay you in there? Ha-ha youre like completely spacing out on me Daphne half signed half spoke.

Daphne is just sitting there looking so doe eyed, and innocent!

What? Oh! Yeah, I think Im just tired. Big day turning sixteen. All the horrible clichs you know. Ok goodnight got to go

Crap Crap Crap. Emmett is going to choose her. I know it, she knows it. Everyone knows it. The kid has a Daphne shrine for Gods sake. Well happy Fucking Birthday Bay Kennish. Youre about to lose everything you truly love to the girl who everybody loves more than you. Fuck. My. Life.

Whats that saying? When you love someone, let him or her go? Well, Emmett, Ive loved you and spending time with you, but tomorrow, youll probably be in Daphnes arms at this time. Crap.
