William Compton was lying peacefully in bed. Just sitting there trying to figure out what was happening to him. All the feelings that were completely new to him. The fluttering of his heart, his breath catching in his throat every time he glimpsed the young man. The butterflies, oh the butterflies that were swarming his stomach, never resting, never growing tired.
Next to him the cause for all these peculiar feeling shifted in bed turning to face him so he could see his beautiful face. The slightly upturned nose that he wanted to kiss, the cerulean eyes that seemed to see his very soul. The dark hair that was always in a mess around his head, a hairstyle that would have never been accepted in court, if the man wasn't what he was. A genius to everyone but himself. William knew this just by looking at the younger man, could feel all his insecurities every time they touched each other.
He leaned in to kiss those rose tinted lips and was surprised by the response he received. A tongue poked at his lower lip, trying to gain access. He opened his mouth and let the invading tongue in. The younger man tasted of apples and rhubarb, the taste nearly making William moan in delight.
He broke the kiss for some much needed air, trying to fill his lungs with as much air as possible. Stalling, trying to gain the courage to say what needed to be said.
Damn it he was a noble! He should have the courage to do anything! He took a deep breath in preparation.
"I love you." He mumbled into Thomas's neck where his head had somehow ended up.
"What was that? Couldn't quite hear you!" The young genius replied with a small smile on his face.
"I love you." He said it with more power this time to make sure the younger man could properly hear him.
The brunette stared at him in complete surprise. William loved him? Oh God what was he to say?
"I l-love you t-too." He replied in a quiet voice, blushing as he said so. Then he leaned in for a kiss from the man that he loved.
