Yeoman Arlena looked up at her captain for the corner of her eye as he finished signing off on her report and noted the tense lining on his face that screamed at her of stress and the punched-eye-like bags that stained under his eyes that glared of fatigue. She knew she wasn't the only one to have noticed and had heard Doctor McCoy talking about it, loudly and with the usual Terran Southern expletives. He finally handed it back, and she suppressed looking up to smile, knowing that it wouldn't do any good but to make her feel better.

She was walking past his chair as it happened, not trying to evesdrop but her ears were incapable of not trying and she heard the Captain voice his distress, still hunched forward in his seat. Commander Spock was right next to her, hand on the back of the Command Chair and she reached down to help before the Vulcan could, relishing in the contact of her superior officer's clothed back. The words started about then, urging her to get in the right position; she felt it there, a twist of knot next to his spine, rolling under her fingers as she tried to work it out.

"Push, Push harder." She tried to comply, but really, she only had one hand. She felt Mr. Spock leave then and a small part of her was slightly glad. "Dig in there Mr. Sp..." Her Captain cut off his words but she continued to rub the knot, figuring that he would get over his misassumption and allow her to finish. She knew right away when his muscles stiffened that it was not to be and ceased messaging when ordered.

She caught the look the two sent eachother and hoped her displeased look didn't get seen by the man she sent it at. After she tried to get the captian to admit to his stress, bringing up the doctor's own words, only to be cut off, she shook her head sadly and walked away, giving in to her orders and walking away. When she heard the First Officer echo her statements and not get the cold shoulder, well, she tried to let that roll off her back and give more credit to the rumors when they popped up from now on.

So, yeah. 'Cause, really, that girl did not look pleased to be dismissed. And I've never heard it from her point of view. So there. :) Enjoy!

Could you, you know, feed me a few replied also? I'm starving.
