That was the last thing I heard before I plunged into the cold blue ocean waters. I never thought that simply talking to my best friend could get mw into this kind of situation. But hey, shit happens. Especially when your best friend is none other than Sasuke Uchiha, notorious babe magnet and heart breaker. Turns out him getting a girlfriend was a bad idea…
*flashback*
"No way." I mumbled to myself. Sasuke was talking to a girl with a smile and it wasn't me. I felt territorial for some reason.
"I can't believe it either." Naruto said beside me.
We were looking at the new hit couple, Sasuke Uchiha and Karin Hanada (a/n: don't know her last name so I'm making up something for now ;) )
"She looks so damn slutty." I said turning up my nose. Naruto grinned at me.
"Do I sense some jealousy?" he said. I glared at him and gave him a smack upside his head.
"Why the hell would I be?" I growled. I shot a glare at Karin's direction before I walked away.i couldn't take anymore of her twirling the ends of her buzz-cut hair.
*end flashback*
My chest is hurting so bad now. I'm holding my breath too long. But no matter how hard I'm trying, I can't reach the surface. How did I end up here again? Oh, right…
*flashback*
"You have no right to tell me whether I can talk to my best friend or not." I said bitterly. Karin flashed her fake smile.
"If you do talk to him, you'll start filling his head with crap about me." She pressed the kunai that she had at my throat closer to my skin. "plus you know you can't hurt me since you're powerless now." She said. I closed my eyes in regret.
'Why did I train to the extent that I almost died and lost my powers? It's not fair' I thought.
Then he just had to invite me on the damn cruise.
"Sakura please." He begged. I raised an eyebrow.
"You, Sasuke Uchiha, who'd rather chew his arm off than beg, is begging me?" I said surprised.
"Well yea…I guess." He gave me another pleading look and I caved in.
"Fine I'll come" I said. 'she can't hurt me in his presence right?' I hoped…
*end flashback*
I can still see the horrified look in his eye when she pushed me over-board. I felt happy when he reached out for me but sadly…he missed.
I let out the air I was holding in. I just gave up. But why was I hoping that he'd still save me? I was probably meters below sea level right now. I'm…lost…
I let my eyes close.
"Sakura!"
'What the hell?'
"Sakura!"
'Leave me alone.'
"Wake up!"
'I'm feeling pressure on my chest. What's happening to me?'
That's when I get the unavoidable urge to cough. Someone held me on my side and I coughed up something. I opened my eyes and saw the floor of the ship.
"Sakura?"
I looked up and saw…Sasuke.
"Damn it I'm sorry I didn't catch you" he glared at something to his right, who I'm guessing was Karin.
"Sasuke…" I groaned. He turned his attention back to me.
"I've gotta get you to Dr. Hatake." He gently pulled me into his arms and rushed me off.
I wanted to grin and stick out my tongue at Karin but I was too weak.
'He saved me after all.'
