She had promised herself she wouldn't let him do this to her again. She had promised herself she wouldn't let him toy around with her emotions once more. She promised herself that she wouldn't get caught up in his web of lies and deceit again. She had promised herself she wouldn't fall for him. How wrong she had been.

Hot tears were now slowly cascading down her soft cheeks as she slumped down against the cold brick wall. She was alone now, in the dark deserted corridor. Alone to mend her broken aching heart. He had had his fun with her tonight as usual, promising her that he loved her, he cared for her, he wanted to be with her but she knew this was all a lie. It hurt, knowing that she had willingly given up everything and anything for him, and yet that he still treated her this way. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn't help herself. He was her drug, and she needed him.

She looked down at her pale wrists that were now encircled in grotesque purple bruises. She drew in a sharp breath, and felt the searing pain at her ribcage where he had repeatedly slammed his fists. She was so weak and broken, physically & mentally. She felt a cool trickling on her forehead and realized with horror that a thin line of blood was dripping from her brunette hair. And yet, despite all the trauma and pain he had caused her, she still loved him more than anything. She loved him so much that it hurt.

She loved the way his pale hands caressed her face, so sweet and gentle. She loved the way his cold grey eyes lingered up and down her petite frame. She loved the feel of his platinum blonde hair, soft as silk, slipping through her fingers when they made love. But then she would do something wrong, just one tiny mistake and his anger would erupt.

Then the abuse would start. He would bite her lips till they bled, but she did not mind.

He would grab her shoulders roughly and slam her into the wall, but she did not mind.

He would snarl at her, his thin lips curling up into that perfect sneer, throwing out harsh insults at her, but she did not mind.

He would tell her she was useless, worthless, but she did not mind.

He would tell her nobody but him would even waste time with her, but she did not mind.

He would beat her black and blue, leaving permanent scars on her body, but she did not mind.

Draco would break her, but Hermione did not mind.
