Meeting in the snow
By; DaCow Takao
Kai slowly made his way down the streets of Moscow. Fluffy snow flakes fell as the sun disappeared, and the moon appeared. As the bluenette continued to walk, he made turn and found himself in an alley way, a boy about the same age as himself was not much farther in front of him. At the sight of some one else, Kai slowed down, not wanting to attract attention, but to no prevail as the boy turned, his icy blue eyes seemed to be slits as he watched Kai carefully.
"Oh, it's you."
The words were spat out in Russian by the redheaded boy, as he now glared at the crimson eyed boy behind him. Kai seemed a bit taken aback at the words, seeing as he didn't even know this person, at least he thought so.
"Hn."
The bluenette shoved his hands into his pockets and shut one eye, though made sure to keep one open, not trusting the blue eyed Russian. As he was about to push passed the boy, another person walked into the alley from behind Kai, this one speaking also.
"So, has the Great Hiwatari decided to come back after all this time?"
Kai turned to face the taller person, the light from a street lamp allow him only to see the boy's shadow and the faint sign lilac hair. As he tried to register why these two thought they knew him for some reason, it finally clicked why they looked familiar, they were from the Demolition Boys team. Why hadn't he realized that before? Kai now took a small step backwards, both eyes now opened as he attempted to glare at both of the Demolition Boys.
"What do you want?" Kai asked, his voice strong and steady as he lazily said the words.
The other two gave each other knowing looks, before the redhead turned back to Kai.
"Have you really forgotten about us, your old friends? But, then again, if I had had the chance to escape from the Abbey, and forget about everything that had happened, including the only people that I would consider as close as family, I would choose to block those things from my mind also."
"Is this some kind of mind trick your dirty team does before battling some one?" Kai questioned, rolling his eyes as he kept his voice the same as before.
Now the other boy spoke, his voice low and rough.
"I guess it is true, Kai Hiwatari is so weak as to block even his old friends out of his mind. I guess none of us are worthy of you any longer though, are we?"
Kai took a deep sigh," I don't know what your two problems are, but I don't have time for it."
As Kai went to walk passed the lilac haired boy, the taller of the two reached out and grabbed Kai by the front of his shirt.
"You didn't even bother to keep your promise? You just left us all to deal with it ourselves while you went to boarding schools and did as you pleased?"
The boy looked like he was about to punch Kai, before the redhead stepped up.
"Bryan, put him down, he's not worth our time."
The said boy hesitantly put Kai back on his own feet, turning to the redhead.
"Tala-"
"Enough, we have to get back before Boris becomes angry with us."
With that, both boys turned away and walked down the alley, leaving Kai to stand and watch them leave in confusion. Kai shook his head slowly and rubbed his arms, he hadn't realized before how cold he'd become. With a slight sigh, he turned and started heading back the hotel he and his team were staying in.
"Bryan and Tala, I feel like I know them from some where…."
Well, I just had the sudden idea for this story, so there it was, review and let me know what you thought of it!
