A/N 1: Adult/mature content. Dean-centric. This teaser contains physical abuse, but while the full story is a bit dark, it will (I hope) have a (reasonably) happy ending, and may even be slash (I haven't decided yet). Leave now if you can't handle that.
A/N 2: Inspired by the interaction between …well, at this point that would be giving away my plot bunny wouldn't it. ;)

"Tell me why."
"I failed."
"Yes. How many?"
"Ten."
"No."
"Eight?"
"No. You know the right answer."
"Five."
"Yes. Ready?"
"Do it."
Nineteen-year-old Dean Winchester clenched his jaw in anticipation.
He barely heard the whistle of leather through the air before his father's belt landed with an agonising sting across his back.
It was his fault his younger brother had been injured in their last hunt, but since no one was dead or in hospital - five, and no more.
Four more to go.
Because of Dean, Sammy had to endure 13 stitches without the benefit of anaesthetic.
Five really wasn't enough, but it was all he was going to get.
So what do you think? Should I write more? Or just forget the whole thing?
