Written during a library session with a friend and his classmates. Well, actually, they were studying while I lazied around writing my fangirliness out cause I'm still pretty much infatuated with Piers (in my defense, I kept quiet the whole hour).
Heavily tweaked after I got home and revised it. Didn't know I could write so much nonsense while people talked around me D:
Disclaimer: I do not own Capcom, the Resident Evil series, nor Piers and Chris.
Clutching his rifle tightly, he looks through the scope. He's an ace, and never misses a shot.
The problem is, his captain is on his line of fire this time. The man in the distance, magnified by the sniper's lens, struggles against some nameless enemy. They move too much, the young ace can't keep his aim steady on the oppressor. He wants to fire at once, but doesn't want to risk his captain's life. He can feel his own heart pounding while he shifts to a more comfortable position.
"Deep breaths", he whispers to himself. Slowly now. One… two… Just as he has almost calmed down enough, when he thinks the captain is about to free himself, the sniper sees the older man fall down. Now the opponent is right between the Alpha leader and the young ace. The three are aligned. And the boy with the rifle gets the perfect clear shot he has longed for the past few seconds. Before this thought even crosses his mind, his trigger finger has already done its job.
The loud noise from the large gun fills the air and his ears. The ace blinks, recovering from the recoil right away, readying the weapon for another shot at the same time, as he is used to. His arms bring the scope close to his eye again, all in a movement that has almost become a reflex.
Clutching his rifle tightly, he looks through the scope to see the expected outcome. He's an ace, after all. He never misses a shot.
A fanfic about Piers sniping. It is cliché, but bear with me, this is something I'd been meaning to write for a long time T_T
Anyway, thanks for reading!
