A/N: It's been a while since I've ever written a story. And if any of you gentlemen happened to read any of them, please note that I don't have much experience with publishing, spell check, etc. So please don't expect a good quality story.
Please leave any constructive criticism you have, as I tend to be a bit sluggish in spell checking. I would also encourage to spread word of this story, as others may like it. Anyways, without further hold-up, I present to you my story.
- Story Start -
It was a rather messy scene playing before Nami. She was frankly disgusted, until she remembered the reason she came there. It was for the Beli. She immediately regained hope, with the cash prize in mind, of course.
- flashback -
Luffy had just found out that there was a eating contest being held at the large town they where stopping by, and of course he got so excited to the point that he had to held back.
He had been telling her to take him to the contest, but abruptly stopped as soon she gave her answer in the form of a fist colliding with his forehead.
It was only that she took it into consideration when she found out that the winner received 5,000 Beli.
She agreed to let him enter, but only if he behaved properly, as she didn't want to deal with his antics.
They left to compete at the contest at about mid afternoon. She wore an orange bra with white stripes along with a pair of tight jeans with high heels. (A/N: I know, not the best clothes ever. Geez!)while Luffy just settled on a white T-shirt with his shorts, along with his signature straw hat and his old sandals.
- End of Flashback -
The others contestants besides Luffy, where either enormously fat, ugly, or both, much to Nami's dismay.
The host yelled for the contestants to get prepared, as the food was being served. Most of them stared at the food as if it where their first meal in months, Luffy being no exception.
About three minutes later, the contest was over. The others contestant's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, due to the massive shock. Luffy had just finished his and everyone else's plates!
And this was the reason a heated argument about who won was started, seeing as the others wanted him disqualified. The host was about to disqualify Luffy, when everyone felt a sudden dark presence. The host slowly turned to see the face of a very pissed Nami. She then said in the most angry tone she could muster, "If you cancel that prize, I WILL MAKE YOU PAY!"
And with those words, the host immediately handed Luffy the prize. "Gee, thanks Nami! I promise I'll only use for helpful stuff! Like Meat!" "NO YOU DUMBASS! IT'S MINE!" But before she could lay a hand on it, Luffy was already gone. "GET BACK HERE WITH MY BELI, YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING IDIOT!"
But she didn't receive any response, which only pissed her even more. She then started searching the town for him, but with no luck. Crap! I haven't heard or seen him anywhere. Maybe if I start searching the butcher shop, then I'll find him! Yeah! But just as she turned, she bumped into Luffy.
She let out a surprised yell, immediately after she bumped into him. "YOU SCARED ME DUMBASS! WHERE'S TH-" She then saw something in his hands. "What's that?" "A little gift, I found in the jewelry store. Looks pretty, right Nami?" It's was a necklace in the form of a tangerine. "It's beautiful! Thanks Luffy!" She then hugged him tightly. "Oh, and Nami" "Yeah?" "I love you."
