Summary: She watched the fight, not sure which side she was on — but through it all, she didn't want this to be goodbye.

Drabble
He struggled to his feet, the black wing on his back flapping angrily. She watched as she felt her heart breaking, even more then watching the previous fight. She wanted to come out of her hiding and embrace him, the look in his eyes causing her chest to ache. His blue eyes locked with hers, even from her hiding spot where Zack seemed oblivious to her.
"If this world… seeks my destruction."
She had just noticed how close to the edge he was, a gasp escaped her as the win stopped moving.
"It goes with me."
He fell back into the depths below, she almost ran forward, yelling his name, but knew it would do nothing.
"Please don't let this be goodbye," she thought in fear and dismay. "Anything but that, Genesis."
Author's Note: Just a little drabble because I've become such a fan of this pairing. It obviously takes place after one of the fights with Zack and Genesis; when he plunges into the depths of nothingness. It was one of my favorite scenes, due to the quote. &hearts
