Disclaimer: I don't own Sonny with a Chance or the song "Isn't She Lovely"

Isn't she lovely

Chad Dylan Cooper stared in awe at the tiny little person laying in his arms. She was the loveliest little thing he had ever seen. The fine, dark hair covering her head gave him hope that she would be a brunette like her mother. Her eyes were closed at the moment, but he knew that her eyes were a soft blue color. He carefully lifted a hand up to touch her cheek. It was perfectly round and smooth.

"Hello, sweetheart." He lifted the little girl up to gently kiss her cheek.

"Isn't she lovely, Chad?" Chad turned to look at his wife who was lying on the hospital bed. Her forehead was still beaded with sweat from the delivery, but there was a soft smile on her face as she looked at her husband and daughter. Chad wondered if he had ever seen her look so happy. He smiled down at his wife,

"Very lovely."

Isn't she wonderful

One of her hands escaped the blanket that the nurse had wrapped around her. She opened her blue eyes and opened her mouth as the cool hospital air hit her skin. Chad couldn't help but laugh at the unhappy expression on her face. He reached for her hand and marveled as her little fingers curled around his. Words couldn't describe how wonderful his little daughter was, but he had to try.

"Isn't she perfect?" He looked down at his wife.

"She's so wonderful. Did you ever see such perfect little fingers? And don't get me started on her toes." Sonny reached up towards Chad, and he gently placed the little girl in her mother's arms. Sonny kissed the baby on her head and laughed a little as she sighed. Her eyes began to flutter, and she slowly drifted back to sleep. Sonny smiled down at her daughter,

"I hope your dreams are wonderful, little one."

Isn't she precious

Chad watched as Sonny's eyes began to flutter in exhaustion. He reached for her hand and held it as she drifted off to sleep. Their daughter was sleeping in a bassinet by the bed. A gentle silence hung over the room. The only sound was the soft breathing of mother and daughter. Chad couldn't believe how blessed he was to have such a wonderful family.

"Precious."

The word was out before he could catch himself. It wasn't that he didn't believe that his family was precious, but that he didn't want to wake them. Sonny murmured something in her sleep, but she didn't wake up. Their daughter didn't make a sound. Chad smiled and quietly whispered,

"My lovely, wonderful, precious family."
