The silvery crescent moon shone down upon the castle-like structure, accentuating its dark and eerie features. Its slick black walls and darkened windows could make the hair on the back of anyone's neck stand up. The grass was tall and uncut; looking as though it had been for a long while. There were two tall weeping willow trees on either side of the building swaying in the night breeze. A tall rot-iron fence surrounded the whole property, making it look like a scene from a horror movie. I stood there, in the middle of all of this, on the cobblestone path to the front door of the strange building. The large double doors were painted black to match the rest of the landscape; the wood was cracking at spots and the paint was chipping at others. The door handles were drooping loops like those of the medieval time period, further adding to the aged look of it. I took a deep breath and reached for the handle, pulling the door open. It swung open with a loud, ear-piercing creak and a cold gust of wind blew over me and sent shivers down my spine.

I peered into the hallway and took in the view. It was a dimly-lit hallway; candles placed every few feet were the only source of light. There were no windows. The floors below my feet were of very soft crimson carpeting and the walls were painted the same black color as before. Moving up a few feet, on each side of the hall, there was a door. Something about this situation told me that I should have stopped my exploration there, but my curiosity overwhelmed me. I opened the door on the right.

Upon stepping inside, I was almost blinded by the better lighting. This room actually had electricity as opposed to the hallway. The room was a very large room. It was painted black in the same black and it had the same type of red carpeting as before. Around me, were different colored decorative cushions separated into sections. Up front, was one cushion and a bunch of candles. On the wall that I assumed would be faced, was a large pentagram. The room smelled strongly of sweet herbs. I assumed this to be a worship area, but why in such a large area, and what type of worship area was this? Then, from behind came a scraggly voice, "Leave now for you are not one of our kind!"

Next thing I knew, I was sitting bolt upright in my bed in my own bedroom back at home; being comforted by the familiarity of it all; being comforted by the calming serenity of the light blue walls and the melody of the windchimes in my window.
