Prologue
Winnie watch as her mom fought off the big bear. Her mother bit down hard on the bear's ear. The bear made a moaning sound. The bear stood its hind legs. It swiped a huge paw over Winnie's moms head.
"Mother!" Winnie cried. But her mother didn't move. The bear glared at her, growled, and stalked away. Winnie raced to her mother. Her eyes were starting to glass over.
"Winnie. I don't want to leave you but it's my time to go. Travel to the forest. Don't get hurt. P-please. Good bye." Her mother whispered. Her breathing got lower and lower until it stopped. Winnie let out a yowl of distress. The bushes shook and a small, big and another big furry thing popped out of the bush. One of them hissed. The small Winnie looked at the small one. Then all at once, the two big ones pounced. The small one raced away. Soon after more fuzzy things raced in. The biggest one hissed and bit on Winnie's neck. She soon fell unconscious.
