Stella stormed out of the crime lab. As she stood in the elevator, right before the doors close she saw Mac Taylor standing there with her badge in hand with a very sad look on his face. When the doors finally shut, Stella had a flashback of the events that had led to resignation from the NYPD crime lab.
Flashback
Stella walked into the NY crime lab to begin her shift for the day. As she exited the elevator she was greeted by a very upset Mac Taylor. Something was definitely up because she had never seen Mac look so mad in all the time that she had known him.
"A….. Mac what's wrong?"
"My office now Stella!" As Stella followed Mac to his office she wondered what was going on.
"Ok Mac, ya gonna tell me what your problem is this morning." Said a very confused Stella
"Listen, to me! I don't know what you're trying to pull but I've had it with all your crap." Replied a very upset Mac Taylor.
"Stop beating around the bush Taylor and just tell me what in the world is going on."
"Well let's see"…….said Mac as he pretended to ponder his thoughts. "Well I just found out about your little side investigation. Let's just say you are in some hot water now."
"Listen Mac I'm sorry it was just something I had to do." Replied a now very upset Stella.
"I don't care Bonasera, you didn't follow orders and you have put this lab in a very awkward spot now tell me what am I suppose to do?!" yelled Mac.
"I don't know about you but this is what I'm going to do"……………………… with this Stella ripped off her badge and slammed it on Mac's desk then screamed, "take this as my resignation!" then she walked out of the office leaving a very upset and stunned Mac Taylor.
Stella was now on her plan heading to Greece. Now that she didn't have her boss, wow it felt so weird to call him that. Even though it was true Mac always seemed more of an equal than an authority figure. She then came out of her daydream as the flight attendant announced that they were descending into the Greece International Airport. Anyways now that she didn't have to worry about Mac she could close this case that had been controlling her for so long. She had to make this right. She just couldn't let innocent people die. So she lost her job, sometimes you have to make sacrifices to help others. This was the only thing that made the tears not fall.
