A Dean/Castiel fic.
...
Disclaimer: Nope, don't own Supernatural.
...
A/N: Well, I thought I should write a companion to my other fic, "Don't Wanna Watch You Fail", so here it is.
I hope you guys like this, I know I'll love writing it.
As always, please read and review, I live for feedback!
When Castiel set his eyes on Dean and realized that he was still Dean, he felt a rush of emotions. Happiness, relief, surprise, pride, confusion, elation ... faith. It was almost cruel that such a small action had restored his faith in the man, but there it was. He couldn't deny it, and to be truthful, he didn't want to. Dean had come through for them, made the right choice in the end.
Castiel stared at Dean as the silence stretched on, and Dean just stared right back at him. Castiel was aware that Sam was watching them uncomfortably, shifting where he stood, but he paid him no mind. He only had eyes for one Winchester.
After a long moment he walked towards Dean, coming to a stop just in front of him. His eyes bore into the hunter's green eyes, watching him chuckle nervously. "Guess I didn't fail yet," Dean said to him, and that simple statement lit him on fire within himself.
He didn't fail, Castiel told himself. After everything he said and did, after what I did to him ... he didn't fail.
Castiel embraced the feeling of having faith in the hunter once again ... and then he embraced Dean.
He was home.
The end.
I know it, was short, but I just wanted it to be a little conclusion to the last story.
Reviews are appreciated, flame if you must, but constructive criticism is much more useful.
Until next time ...!
