Courage and Wisdom: A tale Of Swords And Tears

All seemed well under that midnight sky. Little did she know her life would take a turn for the worse. A girl sat beside what seemed to be an injured man. His eye's twitched and small beads of sweat trailed across his face, mixing with the stead stream of blood coming from his scalp. Leaning over him, the girl whipped away the mess with the corner of her laced dress.

"Please don't die…" She whispered quietly. His face pulled into a pained smile.

" Don't worry…this is the time the goddesses picked f-for m-me." He shuddered and every hair on his ghostly white body stood upright. Grabbing the corners of his blanket, she shoved them under his useless arms and legs. Hopefully this wont end soon… She though, stroking his golden blonde hair.

"But I need you…I have no idea what I'm doing in these woods…and what of the men behind us?" The Man blinked, mulling her questions over.

"Follow Tatl, She will lead you safely to the nearest town…find L-" Suddenly he inhaled sharply and his eyes held the sheerest sense of terror. But as quickly as it had come, He was gone. His piercing blue eyes faded into a dull gray and he opened his mouth.

"Goodbye, Z-Zelda…" With that his life was gone. She clutched his cold fingers in one hand and brushed the stinging tears away with the other.

"Goodbye, Father."

The small fairy floated above her head, its small glowing body disturbingly bright in the darkness.

"We must hurry, they will be upon us in a moment…Grab his cloak and money and we shall go." Zelda fiddled with the cloak around her father's neck, and pulled it out from beneath his body. Pulling the Cloth over her shoulders, she rummaged in his bag, grabbing his rupee's. Pulling out the last one, she looked in its reflection. Though its opalescent surface she saw her distorted face. Her Golden hair rippled softly in the breeze and her pain surrounded soft blue eyes. Sadly she shoved it with the rest.

"I'm coming…"

I'll have more soon. Trust me. Comment is truly appreciated. And it will get funnier with time...Hopfully...
