"Damn water wimp" muttered Goku while walking in a forest while the Sanzo party was taking a break from all the traveling to set up camp and Goku was forced into getting the firewood. "Why the hell do I have to get the firewood while that kappa just sits on his ass smoking?" said Goku to himself while finding a river, Goku was just about to leave when he heard giggling downstream. Deciding to check it out he found the source of the laughter. Turns out it was Lirin sticking her feet in the river and she looked like she was trying to unwind. "stupid older brother why is he so insistent on me staying in the castle while he fights the Sanzo party I mean we did fight like allies against homera and the other two" she said thinking there was no-one there but Goku heard everything and was thinking along the same lines.
(She has a good point, her friends and mine did fight together against homera and the gods but what is Kogaji fighting for anyway?) Goku thought about this and turned to leave when he stepped on a twig letting Lirin know she was not alone.
"Who's there?" yelled Lirin ready to fight when Goku came out of the bushes Lirin was surprised. "Goku what are you doing here?" asked Lirin a little surprised, "looking for firewood and agreeing with you on your point about us and allies" said Goku. Before anything else was said it started to rain hard. "Lets find some shelter for now" said Goku while running with Lirin, "I spotted a cave a short distance from here" said Lirin while following. They headed to the cave and were soaked, they got a fire going and huddled together to keep warm after a while they started to talk.
"Lirin what is the reason you guys need the scripture" asked Goku "we need it to revive our mother" said Lirin looking a little down, "I thought you needed it to revive gyoma-something" said Goku. "yes but the person who broke my brother's seal promised to do the same for our mother after she revived dad, why are you traveling with the Sanzo party" said Lirin. "Sanzo rescued me from a prison I was trapped in for 500 years so I owe him," said Goku.
After a long silence Goku and Lirin were thinking about the other (she just wanted to be with her mother, she must be lonely maybe I can help her I mean she's very pretty and we get along so well without the whole journey pressure) thought Goku. (he was trapped in a cage for 500 years just like me and bro, feeling so alone for so long maybe I should console him I mean he is pretty cute and we act more like best friends than enemies) thought Lirin. Goku tried taking a quick peek at Lirin who caught his gaze, both looked the other way and blushed.
(why do I feel this way it's like my heart is going to burst) thought both Goku and Lirin while blushing, "maybe we should get some sleep" said Goku. "yeah lets do that" said Lirin while going to the other side of the cave. Both tried to go to sleep 'keyword is tried' they just stared at the ceiling thinking about what happened earlier.
