"Hello and welcome to 'Total Drama Adventure! Im the host of the show, the all knowing Chris! It's time to welcome back our contestants in our fourth season of total drama!" Chris the main announcer yelled.

"Now lets welcome back the contestants!

And this year, we have two new contestants! First off, a boy who spends most of his time in... chess club? Dude we get a nerd this time! I mean besides cody..."

Cody looks at his feet.

"Jason!"

An asian boy wearing thick dark glasses and normal geek clothes walks in, and trips over beth. he lands on top of her. and they try to untangle themselves as Chris continues.

"And, shes a girl of many talents, incuding swim team, horseriding, a black belt, and apparently, she absolutely loves to read, wow two nerds... oh wait nope, never mind. She gets bad grades at school... Nicki!"

a girl walks in. Shes wearing a pair of khaki shorts that are about three inches down her thigh, and a black tank top. on her feet she has sturdy looking hiking boots. She is tan, and has brown hair pulled into a tight ponytail. Her arms and legs are strong looking yet thin.

That girl is me.

I walk in looking like i owned the place. The ten million was mine.

"For this competition, We'll be splitting into teams of five. To determine your team, we have a race. we want the teams to be somewhat closer in ability, so that way, i see more drama. and more drama means higher ratings." Chris continued.

"Now this isnt just an ordinary race." Chris smirked. I looked up and around me at the other contestants. Sierra was hugging Cody, Geoff and Bridgette were making out, and Noah was reading.

"You will be running through the amazon with a temporary partner. You both have to make it back and if there is enough room you will probably be in the same team. We had our producers pick out the teams to make it interesting.

I zoned out as the list continued. I had taught myself to daydream and when my name was called, i popped right out of it.

"-Nicki."

"Wha? i asked.

"Learn how to listen, Nicki." Chris said. He looked pointedly at Noah, who was reading still. "Noah could learn how to listen to."

Noah didn't seem to hear. Chris walked over. "Noah? NOAH!"

Noah was still reading. Obviously, he was like me. "Here, I got it." I said. I walked over. When I was reading, there were three ways to snap me out of it.

1 physical pain

2 stealing my book

3 pulling on my ear.

Since the first two options were only last resorts, i leaned over and pulled Noahs ear.

"What?" Noah asked, looking up.

"You and Nicki are Partners." Chris said.

Noah looked at me, and i could tell he was sizing me up.

When Chris was done he snickered.

"Find the finish line in the amazon." He said calmly." he pointed to the rainforest beyond us. "And don't get lost. If you do, youll die. Have fun!"

"Hey, wait a second?" said Heather. "Dont we get supplies or something?"

"Nope!" said Chris. "And i'd suggest you'd get started right away. Its a ten mile walk, and you dont want to get stuck without shelter and food in the middle of the night!"
