We Are A Family Now
In the finale nobody had to die to kill Katherine and Stefan and Caroline and Elena and Damon are living a very happy life. Enzo is alive and Stefan is a vampire.

Prologue:
Elena's POV
Stefan and Damon defeated my evil doppelganger. Bonnie was able to wake me up and we all had a happy reunion. I saw the video of Stefan and Caroline's marriage while they were away on their honeymoon. The two cute little chipmunks whom I am yet to meet as they are with Ric, who is in Dallas right now, looked really good as the ring bearers and flower girls.
Damon and I got married after Care and Stefan returned. Bonnie and Enzo are travelling around the globe and are very happy together. I had asked Bonnie and Care to be my bridesmaids and they both really looked beautiful in the peach dresses that we choose for them.
9 months later:
We all live in the Salvatore boarding house right now and the place where my old used to be was turned into a school for the supernatural kids. We all know that was Damon and Stefan's dream so we made it come true and Care and Stefan being the Heads of the school got a very generous donation from Klaus and he also promised us protection as we had the cure which Rebekah wanted later.
Damon took the cure from me during our honeymoon and we gave a drop of it to Bonnie. She researched and got all the ingredients to make the cure and was successful on doing so and Enzo took the cure happily. Now only Stefan and Caroline were vampires and they lived with two human couples. I started my course in literature as I wanted to become a writer and Damon bought the Mystic Grill and he also bought a few more bars around here and established them. Right now they were all running very successfully and we were all very happy.
I met Lizzie and Josie and saw how they both resembled their Moms but differently. Lizzie was exactly like Care, a bit insecure, boy smitten, competitive, but I knew she will turn out to be exactly like Care, loving and compassionate in the long run. On the other hand Josie me reminded of Jo how sweet and loving she had been, how she much she cared about the people she loved and how loved she could make anyone feel. They were like that as kids what would happen when they would grow old. I really missed Jo and grieve for the life she and Ric could have had if only Jo would not have had a sociopath for a brother.
I am really happy with this small family I have formed. Ric also lived with us and Damon and Ric's strained relationship was bettering day by day but not without heartbreak and tears. They fought and then started forming their friendship right from the ground again.
Damon and I are waiting for both of us to settle down and then start a family but I am really happy for Bonnie and Enzo who are expecting their first child. We really hope that the child is healthy and happy. I am really happy for the two of them. Bonnie is planning to get married now and we are planning out the venue and preparations and choosing the dresses and the other necessary thing. Now we were just waiting for Enzo to say yes as Bonnie was proposing to him.
Small Chapter but I will aim for longer chapters also.
