A/n: Hey guy's I'm back. Since Star shine is my most popular story I thought you guys deserve a sequel. I hope you enjoy it, I'll try to update frequently, no promises though, and the rating may possibly change as time goes on, I don't know yet. Please review, thank you!
Under the Moon's Glow
It was almost a year exactly to the date when he returned. Robin wasn't expecting it in the least. For month's he had told himself that what had happened between he and Adrian was over. Adrian was dead. He watched him get shot in the head himself! But here he stood a few feet away from an obviously alive Red X. He couldn't believe it; somewhere in his mind he told himself it wasn't Addy behind the mask, but something in his heart said otherwise.
"Drop the jewels, Red." Robin said, taking out his bo-staff. The thief chuckled, placing the stolen good in a compartment in his belt.
"I don't think so, birdbrain." X said; that metallic tone still as cold as ever. Robin noted mentally that he didn't call him kid…maybe it wasn't Adrian. Red X took off toward the edge of the roof, leaping onto another. Robin shook his head quickly darting after him. He would have to investigate later; right now he had to stop the thief. Robin stumbled slightly landing on the roof and he looked up into to see Red X leaping off the other side of the roof where he saluted and vanished into thin air. Robin growled; a scowl on his face. He had got distracted, and Red had got away.
Robin took his time surveying the city on his way back to the tower. He had managed to send two lowly muggers to prison tonight while he gave the team the night off, but the fact that Red X was back, and that he didn't stop him; that bothered him. He parked the R-cycle in the garage and made his way up to the evidence room. When he entered the room he locked the door and pulled out Adrian's file. Taking a seat, he opened it.
"Deceased" was stamped in big bold Red letters across his profiling page. Robin sighed. He had watching him get shot in the head by some drug lord that he had happened to piss off. He watched the body buried. He frowned; this just meant that some other stupid cocky kid got his hands on a suit that was obviously not a toy. He flipped throw the pages, reading of the many heists that Adrian had managed to pull off. He skimmed through the photos, very rare sightings by security cameras. He really didn't want to admit it but he missed Adrian. Sure, what had happened was…nut in the least but to him, they actually connected. Adrian made him smile even when he didn't want to; the Thief had that quality about him. Robin was getting his hopes up. Adrian was dead. This new Red X was, and never will be him. He sighed again, looking sadly at one of the photos.
"He's never coming back…" He whispered softly to himself. He gritted his teeth. He had to find out who it was behind the mask, and he won't stop until he does.
