"Oh let's go on this one!" Lorelai explained pointing to the Top Thrill Dragster, one of the highest roller coasters in the world. Today she, Rory, and her parents decided to go to Cedar Point for the weekend.
"Lorelai that ride has a two hour wait." Emily said unsure about going on the ride.
"All good things in life are worth waiting for." Richard said smiling. He was having a wonderful time at the amusement park.
"Agreed, besides it'll be fun grandma and we've been on every ride in the park except this one." Rory said while taking a bite out of her cotton candy.
"Oh alright." Emily said giving into the other Gilmores pleas.
"Yippee!" Lorelai exclaimed.
"I think you've had a tad too much of sugar." Rory said laughing.
"Well it's not every day I get to see my parents going on a rollercoaster and eating something that isn't gourmet." Lorelai replied as they got in line for the ride.
"Well I said we were going on a fast rollercoaster and I meant it." Richard replied.
"When did you say that?" Rory asked.
"I remember it was back at that Bracebridge dinner you held at the inn." Emily smiled.
"That was only two years ago." Lorelai said almost spitting out her soda.
"Well yes Lorelai I'm not as old as I look, I still remember a quite of few things." Richard joked. After about an hour of waiting in line it began to sprinkle.
"Rain, rain go away come again some other day when we aren't trying to ride rollercoasters." Lorelai attempted to sing.
"It's only a little drizzle, hardly anything to be concerned about." Emily said, and then the announcer came on the speakers saying the ride would be closed until the rain stopped.
"Well that's just outrageous; we wasted a whole hour waiting in line." Richard complained.
"The rain will let up." Rory said trying to cheer everyone up. A few minutes later they reopened the ride.
"Alleluia!" Lorelai exclaimed jumping up and down.
"Way too much sugar." Rory muttered laughing.
"Hey let's play I spy!" Lorelai shouted.
"Okay." Emily replied, the rest agreed and so they began to play I spy, when the Dragster started up for the first since it closed, it shot up to the top of the hill when it came back down because it didn't have enough momentum, so it went racing backwards to its original start place.
"Oh my gosh, Richard we cannot go on this thing!" Emily exclaimed.
"Relax, Emily no one has ever died while on this ride." Richard said trying to reason with his wife.
"That you know of." Some random guy said who was standing in front of them.
"Richard!" Emily shouted while Lorelai was giggling.
"Mom, chill that is just some random creep talking." Lorelai said glancing at the random creep, "no offence."
"None taken." He shrugged.
"Besides grandma we are next in line." Rory pointed out. The carts pulled up and everyone got in.
"Richard next time let's just—" Emily was going to finish her sentence but was cut off by the rollercoaster taking off and ending in about ten seconds.
A/N: so yeah that's my one shot I got the idea from watching the Bracebridge dinner episode and going to Cedar Point. The plot bunnies then attacked me so review or they we attack you too O.o
