Adrien wasn't sure if he could have asked for better if he'd known as he carried his little girl towards the kitchen for a quick lunch; the two year old squirmed in his arms, "Emma, just hold still for another moment."

He didn't pay any mind to the fact that the dining table was messy with older designs that his wife had been working on again, and he set Emma down in her high chair and moved the paper and swatches of fabric off to the side as he opened the fridge, "Ham and cheese sandwich?" He loved to ask her little questions though she rarely gave him the kind of answers that he was looking for.

"Ham!" She shouted, arms thrown up in the air, and he chuckled. He guessed he was figuring this out okay though he still wasn't quite sure how to stop Emma from running through the house and knocking stuff down if he wasn't looking right at her and pulling her into a game.

He grabbed the lunch meat and cheese, moving to the cabinet to pull out the bread that they now put on the highest shelf, because Emma was curious, and Adrien still wasn't sure how she managed to climb on the counter and steal the bread from a lower shelf and leave it a mess in her attempts to fix a lunch or get a quick snack. She never got past the bread though as if she just didn't feel like putting anything on it.

Adrien ignored Plagg as he asked for cheese, because now wasn't the time as he fixed a sandwich, cutting it up with a butter knife and humming a song that Emma liked to jump into and hum along with too.

"You know," Adrien said as he set down her sandwich on the table of her high chair and sat down with his, finally tossing Plagg a slice of cheese, "I think I'm finally getting the hang of this." His smile sparked to life, eyes flashing bright green, "So what do you think Mommy's working on today?"

"A, uh, a dress!" She chanted, "Mommy's working on a dress today."

"Okay," Adrien smiled, not exactly sure what line of fashion that his wife was working on today to be honest, "Do you want to watch the Wiggles or something after lunch?"

"Yeah, Barney." She responded vaguely, staring off into space, "From love to me and you."

"Yeah, that's right." Adrien smiled, wondering if all parents were like this at one point or another, happy and content, and yet trying to prepare themselves for whenever anything went wrong. He was proud of her, two years old, and was quick to learn it seemed. May be Marinette will take them on a picnic after work which would be lovely.
They'd pack a meal and go to the park, and then Emma would end up playing some kind of game on the playground that Adrien and Marinette would inevitably join. He's getting ahead of himself. He probably really needed a nap; he'd been up late the night before when his wife ended up sick again, so he'd stayed up with her.

It wasn't unusual to be at least a little tired, but Adrien really hoped that they were at least a little ready for the two babies growing inside his wife, who for some reason or another still wanted to pour her hours and time into work. Then again, she loved her job though Adrien offered like he had when Emma was still growing in his wife's belly for her to stay home on hard days, and he'd give her foot massages and marathon her favorite shows or make her something to eat. Even though, he knew that she wouldn't expect it for a little while longer yet since she felt compelled to go and work as hard as could be until she felt like she needed to rest up instead of pour over her designs though he'd found himself taking notes on designs down for her when she couldn't work.

Creativity never rested it seemed, but Adrien didn't really mind, not even as he cleaned up from lunch and grabbed a Barney DVD and placed into the DVD player to rewatch one of his daughter's favorite shows. Tomorrow, he might have to play it again or something else, or watch a show while it played on T.V. Adrien felt like he knew the words to every song on the shows that Emma watched, but he didn't mind, really. He figured it came with the job, the territory, and he was happy when he could get her singing along with him to another one of her favorite songs when they were doing something else.

Adrien may be very sleepy today, but he loved what his life had become.
