Bobby

The New Year was right around the corner and Bobby was feeling reflective. For years he had felt so alone. He always felt the need to be in control. It had all started with his mother. She needed him to take charge, to be in control. His years in the military had only reinforced his desire for control.

Lately he wanted to just let go and lose that control he was so famous for. Now he had the perfect reason to. He had always felt alone until Alex. Now he was worried that he was going to lose her. Another year had gone by and he still hadn't told her how he felt about her. They both knew it was there, but he had spent so many years choosing to ignore it. Now he was wondering if her New Years resolution was going to be to move on instead of waiting for him to let go and give in to his passions.

He knew some guy from Vice was sniffing around and had asked her to go to a New Years party, but she had yet to give him an answer. She was waiting, waiting for him to lose control.

Alex

Damn, she wished he would just once lose his legendary control and take total advantage of her. She had dreamed about it, had fantasized about it. She had spent years giving him the right signals, letting him work it out in his head and she was tired of waiting! She wanted him desperately. He was her soul mate. But she didn't think she could do it anymore.

She knew he trusted her, he knew she would never leave him. Even if all they ever were, were friends, she would be there for him. She knew that he was afraid of losing control. And what they felt for each other meant total loss of control. She would accept no less from him. She wanted him body and soul.

She was starting to think that it was never going to happen. Another year had gone by and still he hadn't given in to his feelings. Maybe she should take Jack up on his offer to go to a New Years party. It seemed Bobby had more control of his emotions than she thought.
