General FAQs: Team is living together at Stark Tower. Tony/Pepper are not in a relationship and never have been, as it would conflict with the storyline. Bruce still has his condition, but it doesn't appear in the story. Light Tony x Bruce. Clint can't help but notice all the relationships. Poor thing. Enjoy!
"Steve, turn down your music!" the archer yelled, "And don't give me that 'I can't find the volume button' excuse again like last time with the song 'Happy'. You will regret it."
"It wasn't an excuse, and it's not me this time," the Captain protests, "And I didn't know where the button was."
Clint rolled his eyes; maybe the noise was coming from Natasha's room, the spy skilled in enough fields that he wouldn't be surprised if she owned a classical CD or two. However, he did know that she was naturally quiet when not on the job. That just left two people, as Thor, much to the amusement of the fellow Avengers, was out shopping with Pepper Potts. Clint was no dummy; was something up there?
Under completely normal conditions, Clint would suspect Dr. Banner over Stark, but Bruce, like Natasha, was seldom ever loud at leisure. Besides, who blasted classical music anyways? Stark, for sure, wouldn't even listen to classical.
He knocked on Bruce's door first, finding no music and no answer. Frowning, Clint suspected that the scientist was asleep or in his lab, courtesy of Stark. Clint, grudgingly, would admit that the billionaire was generous, gifting an entire private lab to Banner, complete with all the fixings to try and cure his condition. But the spy suspected an ulterior motive to giving the doctor such an expensive gift.
Finally determining where the noise was coming from, the downstairs living room, Clint made his way down the staircase, ready to tell the culprit that he hated classical music and to turn it down before a stray arrow whizzed their way. Accidentally, of course.
He was surprised, therefore, to see Bruce and Tony at the grand piano, fingers flitting across the keys with an elegance and grace that he had never before seen, surprised at how good that they were together, how they seemed to sense each other's intent with the piece.
"Don't you dare disturb them," Natasha breathes in his ear, "It's perfect."
Steve seems to agree, nodding vigorously.
When the finally key has been gently tapped in synchronization, the audience, even the reluctant Russian, broke into applause as Dr. Banner blushed and Tony Stark smirked.
Science and piano, thought Clint, something's going on here.
And, as an afterthought, classical isn't so bad.
Hope you liked this! Reviews and favorites are very much appreciated.
