Disbelief and Deceit
"Bella your going to be surprised" Edwards velvety voice murmured into my ear as I woke up "why? Edward are you going to turn me into a vampire?" I teased his face smiling. He gave me a stern but loving look. "You know my idea about that! And your wrong one of my friends Anna is coming to town" I looked into his golden topaz eyes and sighed. "Your friend you never told me about her" I mumbled "Well Alice invited her and not me" Edward said quietly "can you excuse me I need a human moment" I said as I got out of bed realizing that I must've slept in if Edward was here. "Go right a head I'll wait here actually I think I'll take a nap" we laughed as I left the room
I was gone for like half and hour. But when I sat on the end of my bed his eyes opened "wow you still rush around like a mad woman" Edward laughed "kind of like your driving" I said rolling my eyes " Ok I get it" he laughed as he swung me onto his back and ran me down stairs. He put me down and got me some breakfast.
In about an hour we were on our way to the meadow. The CD Edward gave me for my 18th birthday was playing "So why is Anna coming to town?" "I told you Alice invited her not me" Edward protested "are you planning something?" I asked eyeing him suspiciously "Of course not!" he said keeping his eyes on the road but I couldn't help but notice the faint smile. We arrived at the trail but instead of running like normally we walked. "What are you thinking Bells?" Edward looked at me I could feel my heart beet faster. "I was thinking about what you said at prom about me turning into a vampire" I said as my cheeks turning red " I know there is more" Edward said putting his arm around my waist. "well I was wondering if I was to be turned then what would happen to Charlie? How will he take it ? What will he think of your family?" I looked into his topaz eyes "Bells I don't think he'll hate my family he'll think I did something stupid with you around like get into an accident and kill us both but I'd turn you and take you back to our house so he'd think we are both dead" Edward said. "he might because he is still mad at you for taking ,e to Alaska for a month" I saw his mouth twit as he tried to hide his laughter.
We arrived at the meadow. "Tag" Edward ran off "Hey! That's not fair I cant run that fast!" I said scrambling after him. After about twenty minutes of me chasing him around we lay on the cool damp grass and stared and the perfect blue sky. How quickly it had changed it was gray when I woke up. "Edward?" "yes Bella" "what are you thinking about?" "Nothing"
Edward sat up and pulled something out of his pocket "Bella will you marry me?" he opened the box to revel the biggest most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen "Yes! Of course I will" I leaned in to kiss him .HE returned my kiss so passionately that my heart almost burst. We broke apart and I realized I was red "When do you want to tell Charlie?"
