IT"S NOT WHAT

IT"S NOT WHAT?

Disclaimer: I don't own anyone or anything to do with NCIS, but that's ok, I can live with the disappointment.

A/N: I hope this conjours up the same sort of picture for you that it did for me. I know it's short, but it was two o'clock in the morning when I wrote this. Please read and review coz I love them.

"It's not rocket science Probie."

"I know that Tony. Maybe if it was I wouldn't have so much trouble."

"Have you ever done this before Probie?" Tony was smirking, on the verge of outright laughter.

"No I haven't" McGee snapped. "Instead of laughing at me you could at least give me a hand."

"And how would I do that Probie?" Tony mocked.

"Well I don't know, help me hold it or something. If it didn't move about so much it would be a lot easier."

"IT! Probie?" Tony exclaimed. "You are calling this an IT? How could you? You know how important it is that we have been asked to do this. Do you realise the trust that has been placed in us? If we succeed in this mission…." Tony paused to give the other man a pointed look, shaking his finger at him. "If we succeed in this mission the sky is the limit. We could achieve anything."

At that point McGee lost it.

"That's it Tony. It's all yours. You want this so much you do it."

With that, he stepped away from the table, leaving Tony to jump forward hurriedly.

"Ok. I will." He told McGee.

He had just accomplished the appointed task when Abby walked into the room.

"Wow, You actually did it. Thankyou boys. I'm proud of you. Did you have much trouble?" she asked. Smiling, she reached out and lifted the object of their attention from the table.

"No, no, not at all" they both told her at the same time.

With a final grin in their direction, she turned to leave the room carrying the precious object with her.

"I should have had more confidence in them shouldn't I Mikey?" she crooned to the baby in her arms. "Now you're all clean and dry lets get you back to your mommy shall we?"
