A/N: Italics are flashbacks. All in Sasori's POV. SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ PAST THE TIME SKIP! Kinda. RR please.
About Deidara's "hms". Well, they're translated many different ways. Hm, hn, un, yeah. Thungs along those lines. Since this is a rmantic comedy, Deidara's "hms" will probably change chapter to chapter.
"Sasori, since Orochimaru's departure, you will get a new partner. Deidara! Come meet your partner Sasori."
"Hm? Him? Hey kid? What's your name?"
Out came a beautiful woman with long, blonde hair tied up, long blonde bangs covered half of her face and a forehead protector with a crossed out rock on it symbolizing that she abandoned her village and joined the ranks of the missing-nin.
"My name is Sasori. I'm also known as Sasori of the Red Sand. Yours is Deidara right?"
"Yea."
"I suppose you and I are going to be partners from now on."
"Yea. Say, what exactly does the Akatsuki do anyway?"
"When the leader orders us to go after someone, we'll do it. During the meantime, we can do anything we want. Would you like to do anything Deidara?"
"Yea. I'd like to go find a bar." Deidara smiled widely.
"Oh. Alright." I could feel my anxious face turn into a frown. Deidara approached me, patting my back.
"What's wrong Saso-kun?"
"S- Saso-kun?"
"Yea. That's what I'm calling you. So what's wrong, hm?"
"Nothing. You wanted to go to a bar right?"
"That's right, hm."
The walk to the bar was short and quiet. I wasn't sure what to say. I felt like I was on my first date again.
"Sasori-kun? Are you ready to go?"
"Yes Ami-chan. Here, I got you these."
I pulled out two little puppets that looked like us. I thought it would be original instead of the usual flowers.
"I worked really hard on them."
"Erm, thanks. They're… Cute Sasori-kun."
Ami-chan didn't seem to pleased with them. She had a disappointed look on her face, with a hint of disgust in her eyes.
"I'm sorry. If you don't like them, I'll just take them back."
"No, no. They're fine. Well. Let's go." The smile I had been longing to see had crept upon her face. I hadn't seen that kind of smile since, well, my parents.
"Saso-kun?"
A hand was waving in my face.
"Saso-kun. Earth to Saso-kun. You there, hm?"
My eyes refocused and I stopped walking for a second. I blankly stated, "We passed the bar."
Deidara's face went from confused to frantic. Her arms were flailing around and she was running around in circles crying "Where is it? Are we lost" We're lost, hm."
I took a few steps forward and placed a hand on Deidara's shoulder, stopping her in her tracks. With a calm smile, I said "Relax, it's right over there."
"Hm?"
"Yea. See?"
I turned and pointed towards the small, dimly lit bar.
"Oh. Well then. Let's go!" Deidara stood with one leg on a rock, extended her arm and pointed towards the bar. Powerful, blue waves appeared in the background. Then, Deidara shouted her battle cry.
"Booze awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!"
One particularly large wave crashed into the rock, causing Deidara to get wet.
"Err. Deidara?"
"Yes Saso- kun?"
"Where did this water come from?"
Deidara's face went from her close- eyed smile to a blank look with the classic sweat drop.
"I'm not sure, hm. It always happens when I get excited, hm. Or determined."
"Oh."
"Yea."
"Does that happen a lot?"
"Eh, about twice a day, hm."
"Ok."
A/N: I hoped you liked it. I'm really enjoying writing about Sasori and Deidara. It's an untold love story. Yes, I DO know Deidara's true gender. "SHE" will be revealed in the next chapter. Hopefully. '. Next chapter, unnamed- but- most- likely- have- something- to- do- with- alchohal- since- they're- going- to- the- bar- or- perhaps- it- will- be- something- cheesy- like- Deidara's- secret- I- hope- it's- not- that. PLEASE review or no UBMLHSTDWASTGTTBOPIWBSCLDSIHINT.
