He sits in his cell, wrists and ankles chained. Staring at the wall and remembering.

Flesh sliding against flesh. A forbidden love realized and nurtured.

His brother sits beside him, knees brought up against his chest. He remembers, too.

Hands everywhere. Low guttural moans echoing above; his back arches as it builds and builds, the pressure burning in his lower back. The love racing through his veins threatening to consume his entire being.

There had been no one around to stop them, no one to tell them it was wrong. And even if there had been, that person would have been laughed at. The pain and anguish in their lives shouting and begging for some sort of outlet. The brothers found it soon enough.

Punch after punch on the ugly mug of the man who dared to touch.

They found it in the other's fingertips. The touch sometimes as casual as the brushing of shoulders or as sensual as hands on a naked torso, pulling him closer.

He stands tall, trying to catch his breath. His knuckles wet with blood not his own as clenches and unclenches his hands.

"Stay away from my brother," he growls, "or I swear, next time, I'm gonna kill you. Slowly."

They don't talk about it. They don't plan it. They just let it happen. They let the kisses replace awkward "I love you"s; the too-long hugs (that everyone notices but never comment on due to health reasons) replace loathed goodbyes.

Blunt fingertips dig bruisingly into heavily muscled shoulders as hips flex a final time, satisfaction obtained.

The end is so close, they both feel it. But Michael ignores it, puts it out of his mind and returns his attention to his plans. So he'll continue to smile and make his promises and shake his head at Abruzzi's inquiries.

A muted cry. Sweaty bodies collapse and the brothers fall asleep, limbs intertwined. Their forms melded together perfectly.

They're running so fast now. They both know that this is how it will be from now on, them running together, always together.
