Fluttershy gently drifted out of sleep. Within a few seconds her level of consciousness rose dramatically and she found herself wide-awake to the confines of her body in sheets and a face full of her own hair. She grumbled as she sorted her long mane back, unable to bring all the pieces to the right side of her part.

There was a heavy chill in the late night air and a howling wind through the surrounding trees. Her shoulders felt stiff.

She dumped a heavy head back to her pillow, but found the darn thing was much too soft. Her head sank past the comfortable breathing point and the whole situation was just too straining on her neck.

She tossed a little more, careful not to disturb her partner. She lay on her back, her head staring straight up and dead centre from the pillow.

Nope, the moonlight was much too bright and penetrating on her eyelids. And with the chill from the open window... she's just have to get up and close things up.

The yellow mare pushed the sheets off of her and brought a leg out of bed.

It was then that a pair of pink forearms wrapped around her waist and dragged her back in place.

Fluttershy brought her hooves on the bed's edge and tried to fight her way out. Her sleepy partner just pulled her in tighter, Fluttershy's hooves dragging across the sheet lamely.

"Pinkie..." Fluttershy muttered flicking a hot pink curl out of her eyes.

"Mrrmph," replied the sleeping mare.

The pegasus tried wiggling her way to freedom but to absolutely no use.

"Mmm, oh ho ho," Pinkie sleep-laughed, her breath warm on her prisoner's neck.

"Pinkie!" Fluttershy pushed her hooves onto her girlfriend's forelegs, stretching her torso out of grasp, but still to no avail.

She snapped back and drummed the bedspread in agitation.

Pinkie gave her another squeeze and put her lips in Fluttershy's ear. "I caught you, so now I get to keep you."

"Yeah, yeah."

"And I'm never letting this pony go."

"Okay, you are definitely still asleep." Fluttershy couldn't fight a smile and nestled into her sweetie, finally comfortable enough to get back to sleep.
