A Word For The Princess
Snow White, the dumb bunny
She opened the door
And, found it not funny
When she fell to the floor
Ashputtle cried and wept all night long
'Til two turtle doves heard her very sad song
"Don't weep lovely lady, what we tell you is true,
True love you will find in the form of a shoe"
Rapunzel, Rapunzel she let down her hair
But soon it was hacked and her prince was not there
Her mother had left her and children she bore
Rapunzel had sold herself off as a whore
When Gretchen, or Gretel, can't think of the name
Saved her fat brother from famine and shame
A "thank you" was all she received in her name
She found the dead witch was really quite lame
Beauty was fair or so her father thought so
And it was also her fault he was treated so low
She packed all her bags to move in with a man
Who had thick, thick brown fur on the palm of his hand
Red Riding Hood found the wolf was quite kind
You would think the dumb girl is out of her mind
She thought "take him in and try something new"
But, he took her in... and grandmother too
The miller's dear daughter didn't know how to sew
But it couldn't hurt daddy if he didn't know
Of course Pop told the king who made her spin gold
And to the queer little man her baby was sold
Briar Rose pricked herself, though not on a thorn
The hundred years sleep left her "dead" and forlorn
A cute little fairy befuddled the spell
Thank god the kind princess didn't go straight to hell
Their Princes would come (fathers come, too)
And help find the confidence they need to get through
So don't open the door or trust the dope in the woods
You'll find that with them you won't get the goods
The step mom is tolerable
The stepsisters, too
But, there's only one person who'll make your wish true
It isn't in a coffin of glass or gold
It isn't in the palace of a giant old
Don't eat the apple the old crone can give
Follow that bit and you'll fin you can live
Don't waste your time on two vicious doves
If you do it all that way you can't find true love
Daddy don't love you
Forget the Prince, too
If you have to trust someone
It should be you
Fairies are great yellow pumpkins are, too
But, sleep tight little princess you only need you
