BLOOD AND EBONY

It was just the start of the school year. Draco, his friends & enemies were at the 6th year. While walking through the Great Hall, Prof. McGonagall was seen walking briskly to them.

"Malfoy! Malfoy, come with me!" she said.

He didn't know what he did so early in the year that could make him be in trouble with the teachers.

Maybe it was the time he made Crabbe & Goyle sticks that 2nd year's head in the toilet, or when he pushed that girl in the disappearing closet. He thought about it, Hmm…

Then he saw Prof. Snape. He had a very annoyed look in his face.

"What did I do?" He asked to himself, not knowing that the 2 teachers heard him.

"You did not do anything that I have heard of, Malfoy," Prof. Snape said, "but if you did do something,

I'm sure I can persuade the Headmaster in giving out punishments to you."

"The Headmaster?" Malfoy repeated.

Prof. McGonagall noticed the sarcastic voice in Prof. Snape, "Oh, I'm sure Filch can take care of handing out the true necessary punishments on a specified wrongdoing. And regarding the Headmaster, he asked for your presence at his office which I think is serious because your father was with him."

Malfoy gulped, "M-my Father? B-but"

He couldn't continue because at that time they were directly in front of the stone gargoyle that conceals Prof. Dumbledore's office.

"Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans." Snape gave the password.

The stone gargoyle moved aside bowing its usual mocking one.

They went up the magical escalator type stairs, knocked on the doors and entered.

Just as Prof. McGonagall said, his father was their, Prof. Dumbledore and another person he didn't thought that interesting to look at. Besides, she was a girl, and girls were pure annoyances, (except for his lovely mother and Aunt- the one that killed Longbottom's parents), the very thought gave him a smile, not a smirk.

"Hello, my favorite son!" Lucius said quickly, mockingly, "I'm sure you're not making any trouble for the name of our dear family name, are you?"

"Yes, father. I mean, no, father." He said, slightly nodding his head in respect.

"Enough of these things," Dumbledore smiled and clapped his hands, "Snape, Malfoy, we called you here because we have a very important announcement for you 2. A new student under you and a newfound cousin." Malfoy and Snape both raised their eyebrows.

He led their eyes to the girl sitting in the corner.

She stood up. There was a certain regal air around her. She looked like a very fine doll that looked very fragile. She was looking down.

"Come here please." Dumbledore said.

She came nearer and was just inches below Draco. She looked up at him and he stared. Her eyes seemed scared and confident. But deeper still there was an indistinguishable vision, it seemed dark, depressed kind of a hopeless girl. She looked away, her long layered ebony black hair moving as if it was in water. "Wait," he thought to himself, "did I just see that? Her eyes… They were… Blood Red."
