Ch. 1: Meeting Again

Silence doesn't say anything. She doesn't react either. That made most of her opponents upset, at least from her point of view. Silence doesn't flinch whenever her weapons hit their target, whether it be another assassin, a hero, or her sparring partner. She doesn't hear either. She doesn't hear anything, but her training didn't allow her to be useless. Her intense training made her to feel vibrations and read lips and body language. She's learning to talk too.
Silence does not like to be surprised or shocked, her trainers/mentors did not want her to be surprised or shocked either. So they trained her to be not surprised at anything. But even so, she was still surprised by many people, who call themselves heroes, anyway. She is rarely surprised by villains nowadays. So she was surprised to be surprised by Talia al Ghul, one of her main trainers/mentors, when she introduced her to a boy, around her age, saying or mostly, ordering her, to retrain him.
Silence was also unhappy to learn that the boy's name, was Jason Peter Todd, or Wayne, she did not care. She was upset to find out that the second Robin, the dead Robin, was reawaken by the Lazarus Pit, from being a brain dead zombie after digging his way out of his coffin/grave. She was unfortunate to find out that one of her first friends had awoken from death. It was not natural. How Bruce Wayne did not find out yet was a mystery to her, Talia, and Ra's. Silence did not like that, she did not like not knowing why some things happened.
When she heard, or more like felt, Talia's footsteps coming, she expected to see her, all rigid and grand, to tell her, her next mission. She did not expect to see Jason Todd trailing behind, confusion and anger in his body language. She did her best to hide her shock, but it was clear that Talia saw it. Her face had occupied a brilliant poker face, but Talia's words cracked the façade.
"Beatrix, this is Jason Todd, I believe you remember him. Due to some… reasons, he is alive and has requested to be retrained. You, will be in charge of that. Understood?"
Silence gave her a nod. She had no right to ask questions. She will find out later if they deemed it necessary. For now though, she had to see what the ex-Robin remembered and he needed to remember.
