Author Notes: Ok, people, this is my first yu-gi-oh fanfiction. So be kind to me. By the way, flames will be use to boil water for my instant noodles.
Setting: Bakura, the tomb thief had stolen a special mirror necklace that belongs to Joey in his past life. When Yami defeated Bakura, Yami forced him to take out all the items that he had stolen from the tombs to return them to their original owners. There was this small round mirror with a black frame and two small red rubies on the top of the frame. The mirror is chained round a golden chain which no one had claimed. So Yami took it from Bakura to safe guard it until its owner is found. Out of curiosity, Joey took a look into the mirror. After that, strange things start to happen to Joey....
*thoughts*
"Ringgggg!!" the loud sound of the alarm clock filled the small room and a weak hand rose up to push the button down. *Oh man, my head hurts...* Joey Wheeler struggled to get off the bed and walk over to the tiny bathroom.
He turned the tap and cold water rushed down. He splashed his face with the cold water and turned off the tap. He had been having this headache since Friday, the day when Yami defeated Bakura, the day he saw the mirror. He could not help but think that this terrible headache got something to do with the small mirror. The headache had gotten so bad that he could not go to the celebration on Saturday for Yami's victory. He lay in bed for the whole of Saturday and Sunday, hardly eating anything, but it was not like he got anything to eat at home anyway. Today is Monday, he got to get to school. Joey stared at the mirror in the small bathroom. His usual pale face looked so much more paler now. *Yugi is gonna be so worried and starts to asking questions that I don't have answers to, sigh* Joey was not upset that Yugi will question him, that was Yugi's way of showing concern and Joey loves to know that someone cares for him. But sometimes it can get quite annoying, especially when you cannot answer him, he gets more worried. Joey pushed down the pain and stared to prepare for school, knowing little of what is to come... ã ** ã "Yugi, sweet Yugi, time to wake up for school," Yami said to the still sleeping Yugi. Seeing no respond from him, Yami began to shake the sleeping boy lightly. "Yugi, wake up, I know you're awake,". Yugi opened his huge puppy violet eyes, pouting, "how do you always know that I'm faking sleep?" "I have my ways," Yami went over to Yugi's wardrobe and took out Yugi' uniform. Yugi climbed out of bed and started to change. Yami seeing Yugi's naked top, turned red and headed for the door, mumbling something about getting Yugi's breakfast ready. After Yami was out of the room, Yugi sat back down on his bed, feeling rather rejected. ã **ã
Yugi with Yami stood outside his house, that was the meeting point for Yugi and Joey. Soon enough, Yugi could see Joey holding his head in his right hand walking in a distance. When joey reached them, Yugi was extremely worried. "Joey, do you still have the headache? Is it getting worse?" Joey tried his best to push down the pain and forced on a big smile, "Hey, Yugi, don't worry about me, it's just a minor headache, that's all!" Yugi did not know what else to say so he took his lunch box from Yami and began walking to school with Joey. They both waved good byes to Yami. After they were out of sight, Yami's eyes grew darker. *There is definitely something wrong with Joey, he's already very pale on usual days, today he's as white as sheet!* Yami turned back into the house thinking of how he could help Joey. ã **ã
Joey and Yugi was about to reach the school's gates when a certain black limo stopped right in front of the gates. A chestnut brown hair, cold blue eyes youth got out, carrying with him a smart metal briefcase. ã Joey stopped his tracks and looked at him. For a very brief moment, their eyes met. Joey felt strange and then dizzy. Seto Kaiba looked away and sneer, "looks like puppy is too weak to stand own its own." Joey snapped out of his dizziness and felt his anger rose. "Shut up, you jerk!" while swinging his fist. Yugi held on to Joey as Seto walked past them. "Jerk, I couldn't dislike him more!" Joey glared at the back of the young CEO of Kaiba Corporation. ã
