Daydream Believer
Author's note: I swear I thought of this on a whim. It's my first shot at a Bridge/Z fic, so please be forgiving. I'd spent my afternoon trying to write Bridge and Z and this was the end result of all that work. Enjoy. By the way, this was inspired by Anastasia Athene's 12th chapter in her "Theme Challenge Series": "Knight"
For as long as she could remember, Z Delgado had always been a bit of a dreamer, especially when it cam to love. She had so many daydreams wrapped up in her heart, deep inside her core that she hardly knew where to begin when she thought of them.
One of her favorites painted her as a Cinderella type, the dreamer wishing for her dreams to all come true. And she had dreamed of a Prince Charming to come and whisk her away from life as a street urchin and take her to a palace and love her and pamper her and treat her as though she was a queen. How happy that fantasy made her! How she longed to find the Prince who would take her away and not care about her past. But somewhere inside her she knew it was just a fleeting fantasy.
But that was then.
Now, she did live in a palace (well at first, the SPD Academy did look like a palace) and she was a queen…. (Well, sort of…she was a warrior…but it was about a million times better than what she was before.
Now all Z need to make the dream complete was a brave knight….a Prince who would love her just as she was and would love her for all that she would become. A man who would love her no matter what.
Six months after becoming the yellow ranger, Z was beginning to realize that she had found her prince at last. Why?
Because amidst all the fighting of various enemies and the training and personal dramas, Z had fallen in love with the most charming man she could ever find: Bridge Carson.
He wasn't your typical tall, dark and handsome prince. Well, actually, he was one out of three. He was wonderfully handsome with blue eyes like the open ocean, a smile that oozed boyish charm and ease and warmth, and his short brown hair that was always out of control, sticking out in every direction. And he had so much charm that it practically spilled out of him and it made Z think of him as the ultimate Charming Prince.
She should have known that. She'd been charmed by Bridge since the moment they'd met and suddenly it dawned on her that it was now paying off to be a "daydream believer". And that was because all of her daydreams were coming true.
