Love Hurts

I dare you to call a rose by another name
"Kagome, I love you. I swear I'll always be by your side," he got on one knee, "please Kagome forgive me I never meant to hurt you. I'll be true; I promise I won't ever look at another girl again." Kagome looked up, tears streamed down her face leaving glistening trails. She shook her head and smiled, "Ok Inuyasha, its ok." She got up and hugged him. Maybe he did love her and he would never hurt her, no he'd never do that. It was all a mistake, all Kikyo's fault. "Go back to bed, ok Kagome? I have something I have to do." She nodded and walked back to camp. He would never cheat on her…no he wouldn't.
Inuyasha walked into a clearing deep within the forest. Kikyo was waiting for him, " My sweet, sweet dear Inuyasha. How did it go with that girl? I trust everything is in good terms?" He hugged her and gave her a kiss, "Of course, don't worry. You'll have your entire soul and her body before you know it. Start getting everything ready."
To pluck a fleeting innocence
To make all your truths into lies
To take the white rose and burn it black
Inuyasha took a bath in the nearby stream then returned to camp. He made sure not a trace of Kikyo was on him. He gently nudged at Kagome, "Kagome, wake up. I want to show you something." She yawned and stretched out," Inuyasha its late. Can't it wait 'till morning?" He grabbed her and roughly pulled her up," Come with me," he said in a cold steel-like voice," please," he later added sweetly. She nodded and put on her shoes. Her thin pale blue pj's were not enough alone to brave the cold dead of the night, so she grabbed her jacket. Inuyasha waited for her to get on his back and then rushed off. When they reached the clearing he dropped her. Kikyo's laughter echoed throughout the trees," foolish girl, how could Inuyasha ever love you? You are just a shadow of me. It doesn't matter now..."
I dare you to face the world and call your true name
Go steal her dolls
Go set the tears anew
Go tell her more lies
"But Inuyasha, you said that," Kagome was cut short. "I would have said anything to get Kikyo back. It is on you, you believed my lies. You stupid girl," Inuyasha laughed at her tears, but each tear was slowly beginning to have an odd effect on him.
I dare you to face what you've done
Kagome cried in agony as Kikyo's arrows tore through her body. Inuyasha couldn't help but feel guilty to have done this to an innocent. Was it really worth it? Was killing someone really worth getting back what has already been gone for so long?
Look at the girl you tossed aside
Look at the dreams you've crushed
Look at the lives you've ended
"Kikyo stop! Is this really necessary? Can't you just go on as you have? I love you either way, can't you see?" Inuyasha begged as Kikyo tore the girl's soul from her body. She turned to him and shot an arrow right through his heart. Kikyo stood over him as he died slowly becoming alive again. She kicked dust on both of their bodies and walked away laughing insanely.
