Better for Me or You?
"AND he said that I'm too girly for him cause all I talk about is other boys when I'm with my friends, I'm not tomboyish enough or something. Like, WHAT THE HECK! MAN! I swear I will go to his house and burn the place down! Or ask Rei to do it for me."
She went on and on. Poor Minako.
Kunzite sat there and listened to her rant on about her boyfriend who she had been dating for like a month now and he hated him even more with every story Minako came to him with.
He just didn't know how to treat her. Actually, more like, he didn't know HOW to treat a girl.
"Are you listening?" Minako asks.
Kunzite nodded.
"Oh! Sorry. I was ranting on and on again. I'm so sorry to come to you with all my problems. But if any of the other girls knew. Usagi mainly. She would just tell everyone she knew."
Kunzite knew just how she felt.
"I don't tell secrets to anyone. Other then my prince. But I do listen to anyone who needs to get steam off their chest. And really, I like to give advice to you." He told her.
Minako was teased about spending too much time with Kunzite but she didn't listen. She ignored them. Knowing they just wanted them to get together already.
"What advice?" She dared ask.
"I think you need to dump him." He said it so seriously Minako thought it so odd. Did he really care that much for her?
"Why? I mean he is cute to look at and he does buy me dinner when we go out and all." Minako said.
"Mina- Venus. Please listen to me." He called her by her true name.
"Kunzite?"
"Look. I know you really like this guy and all. But He doesn't see the real you. Like you said. Your too girly and all that stuff. I just think he just likes your looks too. But not your personality. Does he even know about YOU?" He asked her.
Minako didn't answer. Her telling anyone that she was Venus could lead to who knows what trouble for Usagi.
"I am just saying you could do better." He put it.
Was he jealous or something? Minako thought about how to respond to this.
"Better for...Me to break up with him? Or you? Cause I'm getting this vibe that your..."
"No. I'm just pointing out facts and statements. I'm not... I don't get jealous." He defended himself.
Minako smiled.
"I'm glad your looking out for me. But I am Venus. I can take care of myself." She told him.
Kunzite smiled back at her. "I know."
"Oh! Look at the time! I'm going to be late! I'll see you later Kunzite." Minako said grabbing her things.
"Venus. I love you. You know that." He said as she left.
"I do. I do know how much you love me. But, I'm sorry Kunzite. We can't be like we were before the war." Minako walked away from the door and felt a tear fall down her cheek.
