I was reading my manga when suddenly I was struck with a Yuffentine...freaky, huh?

Eyes the color of blood focused on the figure in front of him, the figure that had drool coming out of the left corner of her mouth. The one with raven hair and a headband, a headband that she wore even in her sleep. He found it fascinating to watch her breathe in slowly, rolling over to the side where he usually slept. His crimson eyes softened, dancing with amusement as the Great Ninja Yuffie yawned, eyes opening to reveal deep indigo orbs that shone brightly.
She was still fuzzy from sleep, her eyes focusing in and out again as she saw Vincent in front of her. Hair the color of raven feathers ghosted down his back and brushed against her hand as she rubbed her eyes tiredly.
"Whaataimizit?" she slurred, mentally snickering at her own inability to talk whenever she woke up. Be it from a cat-nap or a deep sleep, Yuffie always had trouble talking right when she woke up.
Vincent smirked, eyes alit with more amusement. "You should go back to sleep," he responded vaguely. He liked watching her sleep.
Vincent didn't know how to describe it; whenever he watched Yuffie sleep, it was as if all his worries simply melted away, and for once moment he was able to enjoy some peace. He closed his eyes momentarily, and reopened them again, only to find Yuffie inches away from his own face. Suppressing his urge to jump back and his other urge to kiss her, he calmly asked, "Is something wrong?"
"..." Yuffie paused, giving the vampire a good grin before flopping back onto the bed, yanking Vincent-in a moment of surprise-with her. "Nah," she said finally, as Vincent's eyes fell upon Yuffie, whose arms were wrapped around his waist. He moved, wrapping his right arm around her protectively as she gave a slight laugh.
"...Goodnight, Yuffie..." He could still watch her sleep.
"...G'night, my trigger-happy vampire," she replied with a dash of mirth, her voice already heavy with the onset of sleep.
Vincent craned his neck slightly, his pale skin shimmering with an unearthly glow in the moonlight. He bent down, lips meeting Yuffie's for a brief moment before he pulled back, watching the young ninja girl as she gave a broad smile, and tumbled into the oblivion of sleep. His own crimson eyes blinked a few times, before he settled with lying back.
Sephiroth's threat was over. He was at home now. Though he couldn't forgive himself for his sins, maybe...maybe someone else could. Oh yeah, and he had a ninja girl-whom he loved-in his arms.
Yeah, life was...life was worth living right now.
