"I love you." she whispered.
"I love you, too," he said back to her, "I trust you."
"Thank you, you don't know how much this means to me," she said, slowly making way to remove his shirt.
"Promise me you'll go slow; this is going to be so hard for me. It's going to take a while for me to get used to it."
As Alice removed the shirt from Jasper's torso, she tried her hardest not to gasp, show, or give off any emotion because at the first hint of fear or any sign of repulsion, he would have the shirt back on and be out the door before she would have a chance to say anything to change his mind.
The only thing she registered was the anger. She knew he could feel it but he knew it wasn't directed at him. It was towards the newborn vampires that attacked him.
Before Jasper could try and put his shirt back on, Alice had him on his back with her straddling him. She leaned down and kissed every single one of his scars that she could see. Then she made him turn over and she repeated the process.
Jasper could feel the love radiating off of her and reveled in it knowing that because she had seen the result of his haunted past they would be able to survive anything in the future.
