bliss.
Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight.
The music washed over me like a foamy wave on a sandy beach. It made me want to sing along with it, -
(if only there were words)
-and made me wish it would continue forever. Every note was spontaneous, yet at the same time weighed and articulated.
Perfect.
More perfect though was the man at the piano seat. My lullaby stopped for a moment as the man turned towards me. Our eyes met. I reached out to touch his face…
But instead I sat on the seat, beside him. Slowly, I fumbled for his hands and gently placed them back on the piano. His topaz eyes left mine and instead stared at his alabaster fingers – first at one hand, then the other as they danced upon the keys. I found myself leaning into him and I rested my cheek against his icy ivory one. I could feel him breathe a soft, delicious sigh, the music flowing on uninterrupted. He closed his golden eyes, and I closed mine slowly with him, savouring the moment. As my mind started to drift away, the music abruptly stopped and ripped me back into reality.
I almost huffed in annoyance, but his lips found mine and I realised. He was my reality now.
And it was then, that I truly felt bliss.
