DISCLAIMER: I own no one from InuYasha sadly... ;-; Lyrics are 'Almost' by Bowling For Soup
I
almost got drunk at school at 14
Where I almost made out with the
homecoming queen
Who almost went on to be miss Texas
But lost
to a slut with much bigger breastes
I almost dropped out to move
to LA
Where I was almost famous for almost a day
He loved her, and she loved him. But he didn't know that. No one did. He was a perv, and hit on any girl he could find. Hell, he asked all of them to bear his child. She, of course, would kill for him to ask her that. But of course, no one knew that. She always remembered that one time. She was homecoming queen, and he was well, drunk. Alas, before any action, he was called away.
And
I almost had you
But I guess that doesn't cut it
Almost loved
you
I almost wished you would've loved me too
She turned the corner to the girls restroom, still deep in thought. Her thoughts were broken though when she ran into his best friend.
"Hey, saw Miroku today." he grinned. Wait, what?
"Nani? How did..."
"Come on Sango, it's only obvious." and with a smirk, InuYasha rounded the corner and left, leaving a red faced Sango standing in the middle of the hall.
I
almost held up a grocery store
Where I almost did 5 years and then
7 more
Cuz I almost got popped for a fight with a thug
Cuz he
almost made off with a bunch of the drugs
That I almost got hooked
on cuz you ran away
And I wish I woulda had the nerve to ask you
to stay
Miroku leaned up against the school wall and stared in the sky. The wind gave a sudden gust, making skaura blossoms float off the trees. He smiled, remembering that night... She was prom queen, he was drunk. He got caught trying to make out with her, it wasn't the first time either. He remembered his criminal record. He remembered after that, he tried to rob a store, for reasons unkown.
And
I almost had you
But I guess that doesn't cut it
Almost had
you
And I didn't even know it
You
kept me guessing and now I'm destined
to spend my time missing
you
I almost wish you would've loved me too
"Hey Miroku." came a gentle voice. Miroku looked around, and saw Kagome. "Sango's looking for you."
"Nani?" he tried not to blush, but of course it didn't work. Kagome smiled and left.
I
almost forgot to say something else
And if I cant fit it in I'll
keep it all to myself
I almost wrote a song about you today
But
I tore it all up and then I threw it away
It was computer class, and Sango stared at the screen. First day without having anything to work on in this class, and she had no homework. She twirled a pencil and then starting writing something without knowing. She clicked the print button and finally snapped out of it when Kagome came by with her printed paper. Sango blushed a took it, still not knowing what was on there. "You're lucky I was the one who got it..." Kagome smiled and turned away. Sango looked at her paper. It was a song, a song about Miroku. Blushing madly, she quickly tore it up and threw it away when the bell rang and she ran for the door.
And
I almost had you You kept me guessing and now
I'm destined
But I guess that doesn't cut it
Almost had
you
And I didn't even know it
to spend my time missing you
And I almost had you
Finally, school was over. Everyone said goodbye to their friends and left, backs aching form all their homework. Sango started walking down the street to her house. Miroku quickly ran after her. "Sango!" he called, and she turned around. "Hey."
"Hey." the two stood there blushing.
"So, ummm... Just wanted to say hay... See ya tommorrow?" Miroku broke the silence.
"Uhh, yeah, sure." The two went their ways, the thought of asking either one of them out lingered in their minds. 'Maybe tommorrow...'
I almost wish you would've loved me too
