It was Valentine's Day, and yet here you were alone at home, watching sappy movies. Your friends had tried to convince you to go out and try to find someone but you didn't want to go out and seen desperate. So instead you laid on your couch and watched movies like 'The Notebook'.

Suddenly you felt your phone vibrate on the edge of the couch. Without taking your eye from the screen, you grabbed your phone and flipped it open. It was a text message from your best friend Francis. You were surprised, you thought he would have a date from the endless lines of girls that seemed to fall for him, yet here he was text you. You smiled at his name in your phone.

Frenchie: What are you doing, mon cheri?

You: Nothing, bored. :P

Frenchie: Great! I'll be there in half an hour to pick you up. See you then. ;)

You: What? Francis? You there?

You sighed but looked at the clock. You knew that since he wasn't answering he was going to show up no matter what you did. You quickly hopped in the shower and starting thinking about what you would wear.

Half an hour later Francis arrived at your porch, right on the dot. You had eventually decided on a nice pair of black pants and a (f/c) top. You thought you looked pretty good for only a half hour prep time. You didn't wear make-up either, you never did.

Francis smiled at you and kissed your hand. He always did it when he saw you, but it still brought a blush to your face. Still holding your hand he tugged you out of your house and towards his car.

"Where are we going?" You asked with a giggle. Francis chuckled but didn't say anything, he just led you to his car.

You got more and more excited as he continued driving. You felt surprised and glad that Francis had chosen to take you out instead of someone else.

"So Francis, what's up? Don't you have a date?" You asked after getting tired of the silence.

"Non, why would I want to take any of those girls out when I could take you out." He said, looking you right in the eye, making you blush and look out the window in an effort to avoid his stare.

Soon enough the two of you pulled up in front of a fancy French restaurant. It was so typical of Francis to take you some place like this, he always claimed that French food was the only good food. You let Francis order for you since the entire restaurant menu was in French. Too soon though the meal was done and the two of you were out of the restaurant. Francis didn't take you home though, instead he took you to the par that you two had hung out at before.

He took your hand as the two of you walked through the park, watching the sun set on the horizon. It was beautiful, and you were so entranced by the view that you didn't even notice Francis staring at you and not the sunset.

"(Name.)" He said softly. You turned to him.

"Yes, Francis?" You couldn't help but stare into his amazing blue eyes.

Francis didn't say anything though; he lightly caressed your cheek, gently rubbing his thumb under your eye. Slowly, he leaned down and kissed you lightly, just barely brushing his lips against yours. Your eyes were wide with shock, but you found yourself disappointed when he pulled away.

"J'taime, (name)." He whispered lightly. A smile broke over your face.

"I love you to Frenchie." Then you pulled Francis down into a much more passionate kiss.
