Marik had been badly wounded after the duel with the pharoh, though noone knew of it.Marik wasn't sure himself on why his body ached. Perhaps his dark side had hurt it in on of his duels? Marik pondered and decided to pay a visit to the pharoh, in the hopes that he may find some answers. Marik then remembered that he had no clue as to where the pharoh resided. Marik leaned with his back against a brick wall. He had been wandering around Domino City, not knowing where he was headed.
"Today... is really hot..." he sighed, trying not to breathe in to much of the hot air.
He rubbed a hand through his sticky hair. He looked around in a daze until he spotted a telephone booth.
"Hm... Maybe that could be of use."
He stumbled over to the telephone booth but wasn't quite sure of what to do. He then spotted a rather large book under the phone. He flipped through the book and after countless minutes, he found a name that he recognized: Joseph Wheeler. He also spotted what seemed to be where his residence was located. He took the pen that was chained to the phone and wrote Joey's address down on the palm of his hand. He then turned to find the pharoh's friend.
Joey and Serenity Wheeler had been in the middle of playing Dance Dance Revolution (Joey had fell off the mat a lot) when they heard a knock on the door. Joey was about to jump off the mat when Serenity stopped him.
"I'll answer it, big brother." She said with a smile.
"Nah it's okay, I got it!" Joey said pausing the game.
Serenity put her hands on her hips. "No way, Joey! Your just looking for an excuse to not play with me anymore."
"Urk, dats cold, Serenity..." Joey said scratching at his temple.
Serenity smiled and went to the door, her hand grasping the door handle. "You should brush up on your skills!" Serenity said with a laugh. She then opened the door and gasped. Marik was standing there, flushed and soaked with sweat. "Pharoh..." he muttered before he fell into Serenity's arms.
Serenity, who couldn't handle his weight, dropped to her knees. She pressed a soft pale hand to Marik's damp forehead. "Joey! We have to help him!" Joey jumped off the DDR mat and rushed over to Serenity. He slung Marik's limp arm over his shoulder and wrapped his arm around Marik's waist.
