A/N: Hello lovelies! This is my very first attempt at a fanfiction (well, 'fanpoem' I guess...). It, as you could probably assume, is about Bellatrix Lestrange, psychotic Death Eater extrodinaire. The stanza-ish blobs of words that start with an italicized line are supposed to be mini flashbacks. So...I hope you like it! :D

Easy.

How painless it is, the slow, graceful slip. Haunting.

Disquieting only in its simplicity. Nominal.

Effortless in destroying what took so long to create, to fortify.

One hairline crack, it all crashes down.

-

He called her his Bella, his glorious beauty.

The seductive pull of promised immortal power.

A whisper dripping with poison quells all fears.

-

Freedom.

Reckless abandon without constraints. Bliss.

A sudden ecstasy in the fall, a graceless plummet. Terror.

Unexpected loss of perception, of awareness.

Abruptly, now is gone. Then is not yet.

-

She yielded to his golden, perfect lies.

Changed, manipulated, starved for power.

The wretched need for attention fulfilled.

-

Betrayal.

Nothing can be as it seems. Despair.

An unending sense of desperation. Hatred.

Bitter loathing burning deep into the skin.

A searing revulsion for them, for you.

-

He told her he loved her, told her he cared.

Blind devotion as he marked her as his.

She wouldn't be abandoned again.

-

Scream.

Maybe they'll notice. Indiscriminate.

Lash out with everything.. Fury.

How dare they? They brought you to this.

This agonizing blaze of hatred, of insanity.

-

She listened, she fell, she laughed.

Every whim, every need, she catered to him.

He was her master, her everything.

-

Submit.

Succumb to the emptiness, the dark torment. Numb.

Take pleasure in the escape, it won't last. Tired.

Just let it go. Oblivion.

Peace at last.

-

He called her his Bella, his beautiful, broken Bella.
