Twas the day after hearth's warming, and all through the farm, not a pony was stirring, which set off an alarm
No Mac to plow snow, no Granny to grouse, no Bloom in the kitchen, or in bed, nor treehouse.
"Where've you all gone to." AJ shouted in fear, as she peaked in the hay loft. "Are ya'll hidin' in here?
But no matter how long or in what place she searched, she could find not a trace. Her stomach knotted and lurched.
Then all through the town he asked and she pleaded, but she got the same answer, each pony repeated.
"I haven't seen any, since day before last." Her worry compounding the more that she asked.
Then she was off towards the castle, as the sun was just setting, heart fiercely pounding, while she was frantically fretting.
She found all her friends in the room with the map, twilight was reading, rainbow taking a nap. To a sparrow shy tended, Rarity sewing, and the size of a cart was the bubble pinkie was blowing.
They stopped and all turned, and she burst through the door.
"I need ya'll's help." Then paused. "Whatchya all sittin' around in here for?"
Twilight just smiled, and rainbow stopped faking, shy started crying, and rarity shaking, Pinkie pie stood, oddly calm and serene.
Then looked severely at twilight
"This test was too mean."
"We all have to take one when the moment comes due"
"Will ya'll tell me what's happenin'? Because I haven't a clue!" AJ asked with a shout. "Where is my family, whats all this about?!"
"In the past you have struggled in asking for aid, in coming so quickly, my concerns are allayed."
Twilight's horn came alight, then they were suddenly gone, to a place all made of light, that was bright as the dawn.
Among all that light she saw them all there, every aunt uncle and cousin, from every place everywhere, her brother and sister, granny, and grand pear.
and just out of sight at the edge of one eye stood two indistinct forms, and she felt she might cry
Friendship and love, the sun and the moon, another princess is coming, and she's coming quite soon. Family needs stewardship, it's magic is strong, no other pony is suited, you've come so far along."
Twilight grew silent, AJ scrubbed at her eyes, something deep down inside, told her this had been no surprise.
They smiled so proudly, she was to be a Princess, but should she say no, she knew none would think of her less. It made the answer so easy, she smiled, said
"Yes"
Light swirled around her, and in her, and through as something far greater than horns and wings grew, though those came along too.
Then they were back on the farm, where friends gave a bow, she supposed that was something she would have to get used to now.
"Oh just get yourselves up, that just won't do, I might have to take it from others but never from you."
They all swarmed around her, in a too tight embrace her wings circled 'round them, wide grin on her face.
Her family and twilight, and the princesses too, appeared and all cheered, at this princess most new.
Aj lifted her head, and addressed all those around, and those who were not, her new horn now glowing to help carry the sound
