Chapter 1: rebirth

She looked up at the sky the cold icy floor sent shivers down her spine her breath was hitched as she looked at the sky her platinum blonde hair was stained with red blood. Her mouth coughing up blood with each breath. Her brother had nearly killed her and here she was on the brink of dying tears stained her pale skin.

'Please,' she thought. 'please I don't wanna die.'

A heavenly light appeared before her almost like the words of God had spoken to her. "I can save you. But to heal your body would mean you'll no longer belong to this world. Will you accept even if you won't be human once it's done?"

Marissa had very few options in life who her brother was who she lived with how she was about to die…. But this she had a choice. She gasped with the blood in her mouth her red lips spoke the words "Y-yes…"

Her body faded with the light and completely vanished.

-Jasper Nevada year 1995-

Marissa's eyes shot open her body felt smaller as she bolted up to see her surroundings she noticed the dirt road and empty desert and she felt the cold air on her face. She moved her hands over her body and noticed she was a little chubby like when she was 6 and the lack of breast clued her in she wasn't 21 anymore she must have been 13 when her breast came in and she was a d cup by 15. So obviously she was very young. Her injuries were almost all gone but the scars were still on her arm which probably meant the others were two.

"Ok….I'm 6 with the mental capacity of a 21 year old this is very complicated." Marissa told herself she either needed a lot of luck to find someone to take care of her or a way for her to get through this.

A car was driving and spotted her. She smiled happily at the site she sat down hoping whoever was there would stop. Thankfully, it did. However, what she found odd was that there did not appear to be a driver.

"Don't be alarmed. I'm not a haunted car," said a male voice from the car.

"Alien car." Was Marissa response. It sounded like something a 6 year old would say.

"I guess you could say that. I'm not from around here," said the car.

"Alien car! Alien car!" Marissa mentally laughing. Yeah if a he left a six year old at an orphanage or something now she would be saying that for a month maybe longer for fun.

"Kid, quite!" He said, trying to hush her. He had to think of something fast.

"Alien car! Alien car! Alien car! Alien car!" She cheered happily as she sat up and hugged the car.

He finally got an idea, though his team might not like it, especially a certain grouchy medic. "Wanna go for a ride?"

"Ride Alien car! Alien car!" Marissa cheered happily. He opened his door and she eagerly jumped in. "Vroom vroom!"

"Okay. Let's go," he said as he started his engine.

Marissa smiled as she looked out the window to watch the landscape. It was so pretty. It reminded her of the time her mother and her road together.

"So, my name's Cliffjumper. What's yours?" He said while driving.

Marissa was watching the scenery and to into the sand before her to really reply but she did say something. "Alien car name Cliffy!"

The car laughed and said, "Never been called that before, but okay. What's your name?"

"Marissa, love Cliffy!" Marissa cheered happily putting her hands on the dash.

"Marissa? Hmm. Nice name. And I like you too," said Cliffjumper as they came to a mountain.

The cliff side opened and they drove inside.

"Secret door behind mountain! Secret door behind mountain!" Marissa cheered happily now he was never getting rid of her.

He stopped in the middle of the base and was greeted by five giant robots. Cliffjumper gulped before talking.

"Uh, guys, try not to freak out at what I'm about to show you," said Cliffjumper before opening his door. "Come on out, Marissa."

A little girl came out shouting. "Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy."

The others looked shocked. One glared at Cliffjumper, making him nervous. He transformed into his robotic form.

"You idiot!" one angrily shouted. "What were you thinking?!"

"She was all alone in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't just leave her there," Cliffjumper defended.

"You know there are orphanages here. I'm sure she could've been fine there." The angry red and white robot shouted at Cliff.

"Really, Ratchet? You expect me to take her to an orphanage when she was shouting about alien cars?" Cliff asked in annoyance.

"Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy!" Marissa shouted cheerfully clapping her hands as she sat on the ground.

A female robot knelt down and kindly said, "Sweety. Sweety. You need to stop that. No one can know about us."

"Sweety sweety. Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy!" Marissa shouted the robots groaned. One rubbed his head the green one looked confused and the purple one looked a little annoyed.

"What is with this kid?" She asked.

"Not her fault, Arcee. Little kids are a little impressionable," said the green robot.

"Sweety sweety. Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy!" she cheerfully repeated of course she was doing this on purpose but it's not like a kid wouldn't repeat stuff they heard.

"Frag. If we don't get her to stop we'll never get rid of this human sparkling." the one named Ratchet said in an annoyed tone he throw his arms in the air.

"We may have no choice but to keep her with us," said the red and blue robot. The yellow one beeped at him like he was asking a question. "Good point, Bumblebee. Marissa, was it? Where are your parents?"

"Brother buried Mommy and daddy. He dug a hole. Big hole. Lots of holes." Marissa sang making a motion. "Frag frag dig dig."

"Oh. I'm sorry," said the red and blue robot.

"Brother had blood all over him. So did mommy and daddy. Brother super scary." Marissa said playing with a wrench she found.

Acree reached out and took the wrench with her fingers. "That's not safe, honey."

"Safe?" Marissa gave Arcee her best confused face.

"If you play with that, you'll hurt yourself," Arcee explained.

"Hurt?" Marissa turned on her back.

"How in the pit are we gonna take care of a small child one wrong step." Ratchet stepped forward slightly and made a squish sound.

"We will just have to watch where we step," said the red and blue.

"What will we tell Fowler then?" Ratchet argued crossing his servers.

Cliffjumper knelt down next to Marissa and said, "I've got her."

"How's that help." Ratchet gruffly asked.

"I'll keep her from Fowler," said Cliffjumper. "I found her, I brought her here, so she's my responsibility."

The group stopped in their tracks when the heard footsteps. A brown man with a cold look on his face glared at them. "Mind explaining why a six year old girl is in a top secret military base."

"She's an orphan Cliffjumper found. We decided to take her in," the red and blue bot explained.

"Why didn't you just take her to the local orphanage? And what makes you think I'm gonna let you keep a six year old, Prime?" Fowler angry asked the red and blue robot.

"She knows," Prime answered.

"She's six. No one believes a six year old." He scuffed looking towered Cliffjumper as he did Marissa shouted.

"Sweety sweety. Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy!"

"She's been doing that a lot," said Arcee. "We can't take any chances."

"Sweety sweety. Secret door behind mountain. Alien car name Cliffy!"

Agent Fowler groaned and rubbed his head. "Fine. But I will be bringing necessary items to take care of her and you'll have to find a way to take care of her because no offense but you're aliens who know nothing about humans and are taller than a lot of buildings!" Fowler declared in a annoyed angry tone.

"That's fair," said Optimus Prime. "And we'll make up some safe spaces for her."

Cliff smiled at Marissa and said, "You hear that? You can stay."

"Stay stay stay!" She cheered happily

"Just don't crush the poor kid," said Fowler.

The little girl giggled happily. She wondered if it was right choice. Then again being raised by cybertronians should be fun.

-ten years later-

The Autobot base had changed over time. For one, they had built a housing unit into the mountain side and a bridge, staircase, and elevator for Marissa's use. This way they could have her live with them without fear of harming her. Fowler had also provided them with a bed for her, a tv, a computer, and would give them a supply of food for her. Cliffjumper would often take her on car rides outside for fun. He would have to make a hologram of a driver to look like her parent is driving, but it worked.

But over time she had become family a sweet little girl who enjoyed the time she spent with them. Now that she was older, Marissa helped around the base from time to time.

Today, she was working on her computer when Cliff showed up.

"Maybe I could be a teacher when I'm old enough." Marissa said well working on her online courses.

"Maybe you should take a break," Cliff suggested. "I'm actually heading out on patrol. You wanna join me?"

"Didn't you get scolded last time for bringing me with you on patrol?" Marissa asked rolling her eyes at the memory.

"This time's different," he said Marissa rolled her eyes at that.

"I love you like a brother, Cliff. But I'd rather not be yelled at by Ratchet the hatchet." Marissa turned around and typed on her computer

"Fine," he said in disappointment. "But you should get out for a bit. Maybe Ratchet can land bridge you to town."

"I'll ask him. Thanks, Cliff. Be careful, okay?" Marissa said with a sweet smile.

"I'll be fine," Cliff casually said before leaving.

Marissa rolled her eyes she ran off to find Ratchet. She hoped he let her use the bridge to got to Jasper.

-Jasper Nevada-

After getting permission to visit town, Marissa used the land bridge and went there. She walked around a bit trying to do. Her stomach growled, making her decision for her.

"Guess it's lunch time," she said, rubbing her tummy. Her eyes landed on a fast food place. "Perfect. I'm so glad Fowler gave me that allowance."

She went to the fast food place and buys some food. And she saw a female with black hair and pale skin.

"Hi," the woman said. "I've never seen you around before. You new here?"

"No I just live more out in the middle of the desert. My parents like the quiet." Marissa took a bite of her burger.

"I see," the woman replied, apparently buying that. "I'm June Darby. And over there at the video game is my son, Jack."

Marissa looked where she was pointing. Sure enough, there was a boy with black hair playing a video game.

"He looks like a nice kid. How old is he?" Marissa continued to focus on eating her dinner.

"Eleven," June answered. "How about you go talk to him? I'm sure you could be good friends."

"I don't think I'm getting attached is a good idea. I live too far to visit and I usually have someone get food for me." Marissa frowned a bit.

"How about a game then?" Jack asked Marissa with a challenging smirk. "You know, for memories."

"Sure I'll play a game. But only one ok." Marissa said rubbing his head.

"Okay. But just try to beat me," Jack warned her as they walked over.

Marissa and Jack went over to a game called Galaxy Blaster. The object of the game was to destroy the alien invaders before they attacked earth. Jack put a coin in and started the game with two players.

Together, Jack and Marissa blasted the alien invaders coming for earth. They shot lasers at them until the boss showed up. Together, they fired at the ship until it was destroyed. They even got the high score.

"Awesome! High score!" Jack cheered.

"Well that was fun. You're pretty good at that, little man." Marissa said ruffling his hair before she threw away the wrappers away. "Well, I gotta go. See you two maybe someday."

"See ya!" Jack called while waving goodbye.

-Back at base-

Marissa began to work. She was gonna be a great worker when she was done.

"How was your day? Have fun in town?" Ratchet asked on the console himself.

Marissa wasn't sure how to answer. There was a moment of what one would say unsureness "It was fine….hey Ratchet do your kind have kids…."

Ratchet stopped working and asked, "What brought this up?"

"I saw a kid today and honestly I've always wondered." Marissa sighed deeply she did wonder it was a fascinating thought.

"We do make new cybertronians," Ratchet told her. "Its fairly similar to organics but requires a few different components such as a spark merge and interfacing is one way and sense both mechs and femmes both have a spike and valve both frames can have sparklings ether can be the sire or carrier. another is the well of allspark and building a sparkling frame then they age in a way to expect we have to upgrade a frame into what you would know as an adult frame. So, to answer your question, I'd say yes."

Marissa just gapped yeah she was mentally scared now. She got up and went to go to bed. "Ok now I'm going to bed because I have that image in my head."

"Was it something I said?" Ratchet asked he shrugged deciding it didn't matter to much and went back to work.

-Year 2010 April 26-

Marissa was 21 she had an online degree for teaching so now she was getting ready to leave for her job. She now had long blonde curly hair that went up to her chest d cup breast. She wore a business suit. And plane skirt with stockings and plan black boots to tie the look together. Her pale skin seemed ok.

"Need a lift?" Cliffjumper asked she looked at him from her room. Which was above the autobots sense she was 6.

"Sure I'd love a lift from you, Cliff." Marissa walked down the stairs of and put her bag over her shoulder.

"Coming right up," he said while turning into a vehicle. He opened his door for her to climb in. "Hop in."

Marissa quickly got inside closing the door.

"Ready for your first day, teacher?" Cliffjumper asked proudly the car engine seemed to make a roaring sound.

"Ready as I'll ever be. You'll pick me up right? No matter what?" Marissa smiled leaning on the wheel a bit. She was giving him the puppy dog eyes.

"How can I say no to that face?" Cliff asked with a laugh. "I'll be by to get right after school. No matter what."

"Good." Marissa smiled patting him.

Using the ground bridge, Cliff drove to town, right to the local high school. This was where Marissa was to start her new job as a teacher. Cliff opened the door to let Marissa out.

"Have a nice day," he said.

"You too, Cliff. See you later." Marissa opened the door and patted his hood. "Stay safe."

She took a deep breath putting her hair in a ponytail as she walked inside she could hear the pater of feet in the hallway. She walked past the students and went inside the history classroom.

"Oh good. You must be the new teacher. Marissa Prime," the principal guessed upon seeing her.

"Yes that's me nice to meet you." Mariss smiled at him shaking his hand.

"You too," he said, shaking her hand. "Here's your class. I'll introduce you to your students."

Marissa and the principal entered the room and stood in front of the students. The teacher wrote her name on the board and spoke to the students.

"Students, this is Ms. Prime, your new history teacher," the principal introduced. "I hope you give her the same respect you gave Mr. Tucker. She will also be taking over detention once a week."

"Man, she is hot," a male student whispered to his friend.

"Think those boobs are real?" the friend replied.

Marissa coughed to get there attention. "I'd like to include that I won't accept anything less than your very best especially since I have expectations of all of you."

One boy with black hair put his hand up and said, "Don't worry. I, for one, will do my best not to disappoint."

"You're such dork, Darby." The redhead laughed at that.

Marissa walked over to the boy. "Your Vince right?"

The boy gulped slightly. "Uh yeah."

"Well, Vince, I don't tolerate bullies in my class. So if I hear anything that appears to me as such you will end up in detention." Marissa made a calm clear tone.

"Seriously?!" Vince asked, a little ticked. "I'm on the football team!"

"Then I suggest you take my warnings seriously if you want to keep your place on the team," Marissa warned him.

"Yes, ma'am," he whined.

"Good we'll start with." Marissa wrote on the chalkboard the war for independence. "Who can tell me when the war for independence started."

An Asian looking girl raised her hand and said, "1775."

Marissa smiled. "Good job. Now were going to go back in time. To where brave men fight for independence of the U.S. Let's start on chapter 17." Marissa opened the book.

Everyone opened their books and listened to the teacher's lesson. Marissa spent the whole class and others teaching her students their lessons. They found her very insightful and inspiring.

-after school-

Once school was out, Marissa waited outside for Cliffjumper to pick her up like he promised.

Marissa waited hoping he would come begging he would and then he drove up to her. "I was about to go to the energon signal but I thought it was better to keep my promise."

Marissa smiled taking a moment to look at him. "I'm happy you came like you promised."

"Well, I promised," said Cliffjumper while opening the door.

She was ready to get home. But on her way home Marissa saw two sets of headlights in the mirror. "Cliff, I think we're being followed."

Cliffjumper looked back and saw them as well. "Frag. Cons."

"How'd they find you? Should we call one of the others?" Marissa worriedly asked.

"Way ahead of you," said Cliffjumper. He turned on his comlink and to contact the other bots. "Mayday! Mayday! I've got Cons on my tail! And I have a passenger so I can't transform!"

"Plus we're in a public street." Marissa added looking in the mirror. "Let's go to ko burger maybe if we turn the lights off they won't see us."

"Okay," said Cliffjumper.

"I'm close to there. I'll meet up with you," said Arcee.

"Over and out." Marissa said as cliffjumper pulled into the ko burger parking lot. Her heart raced as the head lights were turned off. She watched as the cars seemed to pass by.

"Okay, Marissa, listen up. They've never seen you," said Cliffjumper. "I need you to go inside and get yourself something."

"Yeah that's really not happening. No offense, Cliff. I'm pretty sure they saw me." Marissa crossed her arms looking in the mirror to see Arcee park next to them. "Besides I'm pretty sure they'd notice."

A little after Arcee parked, a teenage boy came out of the restaurant talking on his phone. It was Jack Darby.

"Cliff, roll up the windows that's one of my students." Marissa whispered to cliff.

Cliffjumper quickly rolled up his window before Jack saw her. All he could do was watch as the boys eyes landed on Arcee. He walked over to her and started admiring her.

He got onto the bike rub the leather almost sexually. "Ok….me knowing you have interface this is so wrong watching him do that."

"If only he knew," said Cliffjumper, trembling a bit.

While Jack was speaking to Arcee, two girls came along. Jack was startled at first, but then he started flirting with them.

"Ugh. Are all human teenage mechs like this around femmes?" Cliffjumper asked Marissa in annoyance.

"At times," said Marissa, and the she looked in the rear view mirror seeing the two cons driving towards them. "Crud. We gotta go."

Cliffjumper started the engine as did arcee. They both took off. The boy screamed as they drove the two took two different routes.

"Arcee! Ditch that kid!" Cliffjumper shouted.

"I will once I find a safe place to stop!" Arcee called the kid. Jack looked at the Arcee.

"Did you just talk what are you!?" Jack screamed as shoots rang out. Marissa checked the rearview seeing the shots trying and missing both Arcee and Cliffjumper when they curved.

"Quick! Jump off!" Arcee told him when they stopped in an alleyway, and he obeyed. "Never tell a soul, or I will hunt you down."

"Really, Arcee, he's a kid." Marissa said over the comm.

"Ms. Prime?!" Jack asked in shock. "You know her?!"

"Uh…..I'm sorry this is a wrong phone number please call after the beep." Marissa smacked herself she just know she was getting a look from Cliffjumper he drove off.. "I panicked."

"Just go, kid!" Arcee shouted at Jack. Jack finally obeyed. Running down the ally way. Arcee drove after marissa and cliffjumper only for one of the cars to turn left.

Arcee swore and quickly turned around and used the other purple car and landed on the ground slowing down and driving near Jack. "Hop on!"

"What is going on here?!" Jack asked fearfully. "And why did I hear my new teachers voice from your friend?"

"It's kind of hard to explain," said Arcee. "But don't worry, I'm gonna get you out of this alive."

They both took off they drove off to the side of the road Arcee then called some back up. Bumblebee was the closest, so he went to help.

They drove faster evading cars best they could Marissa could only look back once and awhile. To see how close they were. She bit her lip seeing they were pretty close and both were trying to get even closer to arcee.

"This is so bad." Marissa muttered to herself only for her fear disappear when a yellow car rammed into one of them knocking it off the road for a moment then cliff drove even faster until they both came to a steep and jumped off it onto the ground below and skidded straight straight across.

Marissa opened the car door. "Cliff, did Ratchet give you the gun he made me."

"Sure did. It's under the backseat," said Cliff, opening the back door.

She grabbed the gun it was slightly larger than normal but it wasn't so heavy she couldn't lift and shoot it.

"Ok be careful." Jack got off the bike as the two cars transformed once they jumped Marissa sent a shot out at one with was like a heated metal blast melting its arm then cliff stabbed the injured ones head Arcee quickly carried the uninjured one and swung and blasted at it with all her might.

Cliff tried to help only for it to shoot and knock him on his aft. "Cliff." Marissa ran over to help.

"I'll be okay," he assured her. "Protect the kids."

Marissa reluctantly nodded running over to the kid and dragging him over to the yonger boy. "Okay. You two need to get into the sewer pipe and stay there."

"What's going on?" The younger boy asked while they ran over.

"Those are cars that turn into robots, or the other way around," Jack fearfully said. He looked at Marissa and asked, "Who are you?!"

"Not the time!" Marissa pushed them into the sware pipe. "Stay in there no matter what happens."

She ran off shooting at the con missing bot pushed arcee onto her back before rouring its cannon reading to shoot Marissa's eyes widened in fear.

Then a yellow blur slammed into him kicking him in the head. Once on the ground Marissa shot the bot through his head. "ok…. Ok we're good I think…."

"I still don't understand what's going on," Jack nervously said. As they came out from the pipe

"Don't you two have school tomorrow?" Marissa asked alerting the two boys. "I suggest you get home go to bed and pretend this didn't happen bee I need a ride."

Bumble quickly transformed into a car Marissa quickly got inside and the car drove off as did the other autobots.

"What exactly did we just see?" The younger boy asked.

"No clue. And I'm not sure I wanna find out. I'm going home," said Jack while walking away.

The younger boy, Raf, shrugged and started walking away himself.

-Autobot base-

Upon arrival, Arcee talked to Optimus about what happened.

"And I would've finished those cons if I wasn't distracted by the human," she said.

"A human?" Optimus asked, Bumblebee corrected him. "2 boys."

"I guess a second one showed up during the confrontation, I don't know," said Arcee.

"Marissa, were you hurt?" Optimus asked.

"I'm physically unharmed I actually took out those two thanks to Ratchet for a cybertronian who doesn't get humans he makes great human sized weapons." Marissa rubbed stretched her arms a bit.

"I did my best," Ratchet bragged. And then heard an ow sound from Cliffjumper. "Sorry."

"Pay attention to what you're doing," Cliff groaned.

"Honestly though I'm a little worried about my students." Marissa sighed rubbing the back of her neck.

"As am I," said Optimus, concern on his face. "If Megatron is trying to return, those boys could be in grave danger. I need to see them tomorrow. After school."

"Just great."
