There he was. The love of her life..Edward Cullen. He was waiting for her in their usual spot. It was their place. A beautiful meadow secluded from everyone and everything. The sun was reflecting off of every inch of his pale skin. She was the only person. Well, the only human at least who was allowed to see this. Edward was a vampire, and could not show himself in the sunlight to just any human, or he would attract too much attention and risk exposing not only himself, but also his entire family. She was blessed. He looked so beautiful that she just stood there…holding her breath, as she did every time she saw him. She still found it hard to believe that someone so perfect-someone so unspeakably beautiful had chosen her to spend eternity with. Suddenly reminding herself to breathe, she slowly made her way towards him. Until she saw….her.
A beautiful girl approached the spot where Edward was standing. She wore the most beautiful gown Bella had ever seen. It was a flowing, crimson gown that was sprinkled with sapphires randomly. Her hair was lightest shade of blonde and looked as though it were made of silk. Bella touched her own hair self-consciously. It was nothing like silk.
Her gaze returned once again to the stranger that was approaching Edward.
The girl reached her hand lightly to stroke Edward's cheek, and to Bella's horror, he grasped her hand, guiding it to his face, before pulling her near and kissing her.
Tears quickly pooled in Bella's eyes and she gasped. Edward let go of the girl and turned to see Bella, standing there with a look of betrayal and pain etched across her face.
"Bella-Wait. It's not what you think." He pleaded, moving towards her.
Without a word, she shook her head and turned away, her lips trembling. As she turned to run, her foot caught a root sticking out of the ground and she fell backwards onto a bed of pine needles. She gasped for air and her world went black.
Authors Note: So, yeah…this is just the first chapter. I'm sorry if it sucks, but I haven't written in so long. Surely I'll get into the swing of it soon. PLEASE REVIEW!
