"Stop screaming!" The voice hissed in her ear, and she clamped her lips shut as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"He's not going to save you from your fate, you know." The voice whispered to her, and she choked back another heavy sob as her body began to tremble. "Isn't that right…Yuki?" The dark, malicious voice chuckled as her eyes trailed to the young man standing in front of her…a look of complete horror on his face.
"Yuki…" She whimpered out as fingers entwined themselves in her hair and violently ripped her head to the side as she let out another involuntary scream of pain…amethyst eyes averting their gaze in silence.
"I warned you…Tohru." The voice snarled in her ear. "I warned you that I would make you suffer…as we suffer." Hot breath came in waves against her skin as she squeezed her eyes shut. "I warned you that I would make you regret that you ever had anything to do with the Sohmas…"
"I…" She stammered, trying to fight back the tears in her voice. "I didn't mean to…" And without warning her face was slammed violently into the floor, and she heard a malicious chuckle manifest as she fought against unconsciousness.
"Akito!" A gentle voice pleaded, and Tohru's heart thrilled in hope.
"What?!" The malicious voice shrieked in response, causing her to tremble on the floor where she lay. "Will you take her place, then?" The voice challenged…and there was only silence in response.
"You see?" The voice whispered in her ear, her breath picking up pace. "No one will save you now…Tohru." Her name spat out with such venom that she winced in spite of herself.
Violent screams ripped through her lips as searing pain passed through her already broken body. Still…the young man next to her remained in silence…standing in horror as he was force to watch. Screaming his name out in agonizing pain, she thought that she heard him crying…but everything became dulled in comparison to the way her body writhed under the torture she was enduring.
Silence filled the room as the screaming was finally halted. Deep gasps and panting came from within the darkness, as a horrified voice whimpered out in the silence.
"Akito…what have you done?"
