Thoughts running through his head, not knowing whether to chase after her or let her go. Wanting to see her face again and never look away.
"Don't go Emily." Aaron thought to himself, staring into space trying not to let the tears fall even though no one would be there to hear his quiet sobs. All alone, in his own world. "There's still time, you can stop this, you can stop her from leaving, just chase after he, go now!" He repeats to himself over and over but cannot drag himself out of that door; he cannot make himself shatter her new beginning.
"Just drive to the damned airport, she hasn't left yet. Jack's not here he's safe at Jessica's, JUST GO!" And he does.
Grabbing his car keys and phone, leaving his jacket, running out the door to find love. . . It was risky but she was worth it, remembering when she first stepped into his office, how he let her down, but not this time, this time he'll step up and chase after his true love. Not letting anything get in his way.
Close to his destination, he receives a text from the one and only Emily Prentiss.
"I'll be leaving in ten minutes, thank you for everything Aaron; I'll miss you and never forget you. Love Em xxx." Tears now falling from his face, from his deep brown eyes, from his heart. Not replying to get there faster. "I'm coming for you Em, but will I make it?" Aaron ponders. Not taking his eyes off the road, breaking the speed limit, but not caring, only caring for her.
"So close, but so far. . ." He thinks racing through the traffic.
Now at the airport, he doesn't even bother to take the keys out of the engine, just jumps straight out of the car running towards the entrance. "How can I be so foolish, how could I let it get this far?" But nothing could stop him now, every second counting, not letting a single one go to waste. For the sake of him, for the sake of her, for the sake of love.
Not caring about security he races past them, not looking back. Only looking forward to see her walk round the corner.
"EMILY!" He shouts, with no reply. "Emily, Emily." He keeps repeating whist still running to the door, but she doesn't hear his pleads. The door closing just as he is about to reach it, he slams into it repeatedly hitting his fist into the metal door, dividing him and his one true love. Slowly falling to his knees as security drags him away, "Emily. . ." He whispers letting her down again.
